Thanks, I wish Minnesota had more foggy days. I should've gotten off my ass and did some more photography during the dead season (the time inbetween winter and spring. Where everything is wet, dead, and dreary)
Oh, well, there is always fall. Plus I may go to Centraila (Every SH fan should know that place, right?) this summer, if I feel I can get away with it. Money's tight right now

Just Around The Bend That's beautiful man. I'd frame something like that on my wall in my living room.

Thanks!
Are there no other photographers here at SHF?
I'd love to see others works

I do some photography now and again. Digital, Pinhole, 4x5. Just got a T2i and am looking forward to posting some pics. I agree though, it is a tasty photo! Here is one I took the other day at an old Mining Town. The whole place was delightfully rusted. Very SH-ish.

@ Vaco- Centralia is a total MUST I agree. I heard that they may be demolishing or otherwise blitzing some of the remaining towny bits sometime soon, not sure how true that is but it would be good for anyone who can go to get hopping asap (and post ten meeeellion pics here preferably). @ The Crimson One- Niiiiice! SO, gonna give us some pics of the rest of the place sometime? *nudge nudge nudge* I took a wander into the forest near our place this week and though my camera is dying a slow chokey poor image quality death, I managed to take one (rather crappy) pic before it conked out on me. I am so going back with better cameraness of some form as soon as we get a misty day. It was eerily quiet at one part, which was delightful as the rest of the time was spent batting huge bugs away and trying not to get eggs laid in my head. (I actually had two ticks on me and proceeded to freak out in the shower for half an hour afterwards.<_<)

Ah yes, I do have some more. Actually took more video than I took pics though. Perhaps I'll post some of those. It was a pretty cool location. Old mining town. There was even a mine shaft, which I would have ventured in had there not been like 8" of water in it. Next time I'll bring some proper foot apparel and a flashlight...and a copy of the Descent...and an adult diaper.

@ PseudoI've heard so as well and going by Google Maps photos it looks like it may have already happened I'd still love to go out there because some of the surrounding towns are just quaint and old timey (which I love). I dunno. Its about money and getting time off work. Maybe, I'd love to do it

I'm worried if I stare into the darkness of the shack that I will suddenly notice two red-glowing eyes staring into my soul....

@ Vaco- Yeah, the old towny feel is lush and probably even funkier when making a Silent Hilly Centralia pilgramage, if you do actually manage to head over sometime there then my jealousy will slightly outweigh my happiness for you. @ The Crimson One- Nice! Rundown shacks and wooden houses/barns always get me a little nervous. I'm sure the lighting and everything probably makes it even creepier than it is, but I reckon I would still get a bit jumpy there.XP I went to the storage area of our apartment block recently and ZOMG it was even more awesome than I had expected. I was told that it was right up my alley but I didn't realise that it ran the entire length beneath the building, was quite so pipey...or that it smelled like dead people.. I had wanted to practice backgrounds and general scenery more, so I decided some photies were in order. This was the sight that greeted me when I first entered; It wasn't much more cozy with a bit of light; And it's kind of a dull one, but this uberheavy doombeast-containment door pleased me, so I snapped it.XP I am extremely tempted to get my father to ship over my PH helmet so that I can take some ubernerdy pics down there tbh..

@ This was the sight that greeted me when I first entered; That isn't a storage locker. That is an area where nightmares are bred and held until maturity. Creepy

For some weird reason the picture with the flash reminds me of the Brookhaven corridors on the patient ward ... just that Brookhaven was much more gritty and worn down and had paint pealing off everywhere and those adorable bloody gurneys welcomed and invited you to explore the completely safe corridors of a completely sanitary hospital full of friendly staff, oh, and let's not forget those cute little faceless nurses waving at you with sharpened scalpels welcoming one and all to their little tea party of death ... in other words ... cool pic

Well, I've decided to go to Centralia in the fall, because its my favorite season and the trees will be pretty colors (even though I do more B&W photography than color) so.
So yeah, hopefully it'll produce good photos
