Just started Cormac McCarthy's The Road. They had it in the gift shop of the hospital where I work. I really dig it so far. Everything's so bleak and desolate. I'm thinking, "Jeez . . . what the hell happened here?" Also of some interest is the lack of quotation marks. My landlord has a bunch of McCarthy books and said he'd let me borrow a few if I liked The Road.

Going over Fragile Things again, most of the stories hold up after repeated readings...

Just got "Teatro Grottesco" by Thomas Ligotti It's a collection of short stories. I just finished "The Clown Puppet" which is about a man who has these repeated an unexplainable "visits" by this clown marionette that hangs out of nothing and floats before him. It was definitely interesting. Kind of reminded me of the puppets in SH. Also, I loved House of leaves and Only Revolutions! I found it best to read 8 pages and then flip. If you do it that way, you are always starting at a bold capital letter which is placed every 8 pages. I think it was suggested by the publisher.

Just finished No Time For Goodbye by Linwood Barclay. I really loved Neil Gaiman's Graveyard Book (it's an easy read, more of a children's story really, but still enjoyable).
One of my favorites is The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield.

Nineteen Eighty-Four by Geoge Orwell. I'm studying it for my English Literature class but I still haven't finished reading it, I wish Winston wouldn't babble on so much, I had skip to the good parts.

I'm working my way through "It" by Stephen King. Well, working my way through in the sense that I've been on page 12 for about a week.

I'm working my way through "It" by Stephen King. Well, working my way through in the sense that I've been on page 12 for about a week. Yeah, I tried to read It once. Got to about page three hundred something. But every time I read a bit, I'd look at how far I had to go and eventually I just decided it was too much. That book could be much shorter and just as good.
