I just finished Call of Duty World at World and unlocked the zombie coop which is pretty cool. I started playing Valkyria Chronicles which is amazing so far even though i am only like an hour into it. other than that i have been playing a lot of counterstrike source and waiting for Killzone 2 to be released.

On that note of retro gaming... A coworker bought me the Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection for PS3. Damn near 50 oldschool Genesis/Sega Master System and Arcade games in one package. Including a lot I really love, like the entire Streets of Rage, Golden Axe and Sonic series. Also Comix Zone! Awesome. I had no idea. I just looked up the list of games on it. It's got Phantasy Star IV and Comix Zone, which are the reasons I bought the PS2 Sega Collection, plus Dynamite Headdy. That's all I need. I gotta own that.

Picked up Resistance 2 on a whim last Thirsday, and it's been simple fun for the most part. The game's environmental scope is amazing, but the action is very focused and straight-forward, which has actually been enjoyable in contrast to the more open-world stuff I've been playing lately. Visuals are a peculiarly mixed bag, with some amazing effects in places offset by absolute garbage in others. All-in-all it's a pretty fun package now that all the goofy hype has passed.

The multiplayer in Resistance 2 is worth all the hype it got, in my opinion. It's the sole reason I spent 60 bucks on the game.
I've been playing...
Retro Game Challenge Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection (Phantasy Star IV, I've missed you so.) DJ Max Fever AND Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix (That's a fucking MOUTHFUL!) SFIV is tomorrow FUCKING HELL YES!
I bought a new 6 button fight pad, and the strat. guide for SFIV. Been practicing constantly, and am ready to dominate any and all challengers with Zangief. The guide fro IV is very awesome and really worth the money. The zoning tips for characters is nice, but the biggest thing for me is the frame data charts in the back of the book for everyone. That's awesome to a hardcore fan.

I'm in zombie mode. I've replayed RE2, and RE3: Nemesis. I bought a cheapo copy of RE4 for the GameCube that'll be arriving next week ;D In the meantime I'm playing an iPhone game called Zombieville, USA. Its an arcade side scroller. You start with only a pistol but with money you can buy new weapons, upgrades in between levels. You can go into houses to find shelter from zombies and find money and ammo Its pretty good for 3 bucks

The multiplayer in Resistance 2 is worth all the hype it got, in my opinion. It's the sole reason I spent 60 bucks on the game. Fair enough. My metric is solely single player, as I tend to avoid non co-op multiplayer in most shooters I play these days. I got Retro Game Challenge as well, and I'm glad I snatched it when I did, because clerks have since been telling me that it's rather tough to find. It kept me entertained while I was waiting for the Ferry yesterday, and it's a great one to pick up and put down at a moment's notice. And Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection. My friend and I rocked through the whole Streets of Rage saga last night. So many good games on one disc.

The only down point to Retro Game Challenge so far to me is actually the RPG, Guadia Quest. It's rock solid in terms of what it is. Think of it as Dragon Quest 2. But the final challenge is LONG, and requires grinding...sorta slowed down the pace of the game. It's still fun though.
And yes, Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection is probably my favorite classics collection ever assembled. Like you said Lifeless, SO many good games on one disc.
