Another one of those movies I've embarrassingly never watched: 2001: A Space Odyssey.
I think I need to watch that again...

The Muppet Christmas Carol. Shut up, I love that movie. Me too. ;D In fact, I'm currently watching all the Muppet Show episodes. Saw Underworld: Rise of the Lycans recently. Better than the second one, not quite as good as the first, but good overall, imho. Session 9. I LOVE that movie!

I've been in the mood for martial arts movies lately. Since I don't have Chinese Super Ninja on dvd, I binged on The Matrix. Within a few days I watched The Matrix, The Animatrix, Reloaded, and Revolutions.

And speaking of being embarrassed for never having seen a movie, yesterday I saw Young Frankenstein for the first time. Loved it. " . . . Frau Blucher." [Horses whinnying]

Watched Hellraiser 6: Hellseeker last night, and was rather impressed with it really. I had always thought that after 4:Bloodlines, the series had fallen so silent due to the movies becoming too b-movieish or in some way shamefully rubbish. But hellno,if anything they started taking more from the book/graphic novel series' and following individuals with more focus on the twisted psychological side of things than on the whole "ZOMGChains and hooks comin' outta tha walls yo!!" Spoilers below yo!!So yeah, pleasantly suprised, and actually VERY chuffed with the uberunexpected appearrance of Kirsty! (Though after Hellraiser 2, it felt a bit odd that she was able to even propose a deal with Pinhead and his posse, but i'll let that slide as it was a rather juicy dealio. )

@ Katran- I belieeeeve there are currently 8 Hellraisers.XP I was unaware of any beyond #4 for years myself, then i came upon #5: Inferno when nipping into Blockbusters on a whim. Haven't seen any in stores or for sale online though, so it's almost like hunting the dang box itself trying to find them all. ;

the last movie i watched was Tropic Thunder, before that was Gran Torino and before that I watched Slumdog Millionaire. Gran Torino and Slumdog Millionaire were incredible as you might have heard. Tropic Thunder was fun to watch and looked amazing on bluray

Yeah, I've seen the series up through Hellseeker myself and those 5th and 6th movies were surprisingly good. I actually liked Inferno (the 5th one) better though, because Hellseeker seemed a little too suspiciously like Jacob's Ladder.

Just rented Cube the other night. I'm really not sure if I like it or not. I dug the tense atmosphere and psychological aspect, but although using simple human interaction and character development to propel the movie was an interesting idea, any story or plot at all would have been appreciated. Also, the scenery got repetetive before long. I think I'm gonna have to watch it again, but probably not anytime soon.

Saw Friday the 13th on Friday the 13th...hehe.
I liked it. Jason was protrayed very well, and very badass. Lots of boobies too.

Cube was indie before there was even a name for it. A prime example of how all you really need is a good script to make a good film (get it, PRIME?!?) Yeah, the backgrounds are all more or less the same due to budget constraints Just rented Cube the other night. I'm really not sure if I like it or not. Just saw Lakeview Terrace. Much better than I thought it would be, but I probably won't watch it again.
