A lot of people have argued over what is better the old nurses or the new playboy nurses. I see no real difference but....im not sure. I think they look just as scary with or without plastic surgery. Dose any one really think it makes a big difference? Also I loved the whole moving as one thing when light is present that has so many meanings to it and it looks f`ing creepy. A lot of people say it sucks....what do you think?

SH2 nurses, por favor. SH0 nurses are closest to them too.
The SH1 nurses are a bit specific, SH3 nurses are kind of a lame copy of SH2, SH4 hasn't really got nurses, and SHH has those boobies.
I don't mind the boobies or the light attraction in the movie/SHH versions. I haven't beaten SHH yet, so I guess they have a reason to have such a payload.
Still, there's something about the faceless SH2 nurses...

They should've stopped with the nurses after SH2 or 3. It's so frickin redundant.
SH3's nurses were really cool though. 4's 'nurses' were cool looking but made stupid burping noises. SH:0 was just a copy of SH2's nurses and SH:H was copying the movie of course.
I know their purpose could be argued but SH2 pretty much established that a lot of these monsters are manifestations of a persons inner demons. Essentially anyways. We really should never have seen nurses in every game (or similair nurses from other games anyways) just like the straight jacket monster really shouldn't have been in SH:0.
However, the whole moving with light thing, especially in SH:H was badass. I just wish there was a bit more creativity when it came to these aspects of SH; like in the old days. Using the same damn nurses every game (or even using nurses over and over again to begin with) makes SH formulaic and that's the polar opposite of what SH should be doing.

SH1 nurses are pretty memorable what with those lumps on their backs and they're also the only nurses to dress properly. The SH2 nurses were pretty cool, I really like the bobble headed aspect, it was pretty scary on my first plathrough and they're also good to ogle from the neck down. SH3 nurses were a bit boring. They're the scariest due to the damn breathing noises they make but they have nothing special about them. SH4 didn't have them. SH0 nurses are a copy of SH2/SH3 and look bland. Nothing much to them. SHH: Probabaly my favourite along with SH2. They look too similar to the SH2 nurses but are far trickier to kill without a gun and it's so much fun to play around with them when they turn statue-esque. I wish they would have stuck with the SH1 nurses due to the storyline but I'm more worried about a bunch of nurses being stood in the middle of a back alley I would have preferred them to hunch over though, like in the first game.

SH2 nurses are all that there really needed to be. (SH1 nurses aside; they're not monsters, just possessed humans.) However, like it or not, they've become a staple of the series. With this in mind I will say that, aesthetically speaking, the Homecoming nurses are my favorite. They look the best and they fight the smartest.

SH1 nurses were too human, but since the graphics weren't all that they were still okay. I liked that they weren't sexy actually.
SH2: great nurses. I remember seeing concept art where they were originally holding dripstands. It would have been cool to see one with a dripstand and just not make her attack James (because I guess they got rid of the dripstand because of technical reasons with battle).
SH3: I actually liked them quite a bit. They were simple, and I wish they didn't look so Japanese in the face, but I still liked them.
SHH: Them responding to light made them more interesting in my opinion. Not a fan on the boobs, but whatever; I'm starting not to care anymore. I wish they made the weak, pained noises the nurses in the movie made. That would have been so creepy.
SH0: These nurses look weird to me in a not good way. I don't know why

I guess the SH1 Nurses looked the best they could so no argument there. I look at SH2 AND SH:H and i noticed that the SH2 nurses have the same size looking chest as the SH:H! They just look bigger in SH:H because of how the nurses carry themselves. I turned off my light and say there back was arched so there chest look much bigger than need ! SH3 nurses where same model as SH2 i think but with those insanely creepy noises.....gave me a heart attack when i first heard it . The SH0 nurses cant be helped. What they did was look at SH1 and recopy the same model but ramp it up....or something like that and, with the PSPs graphics this was the end result. I'm fine with them the green color effect was to give they impression that they had been there for a LONG time. So there surroundings grew on them. SH4 I laughed for and hour straight with my first encounter with the "nurse" I think he is a doctor not a nurse but......I don`t know?

^I think they're actually supposed to be patients not hospital staff. I don't know why they made them sound like that though, it diminishes any sense of fear they had about them.

Knocking one down a flight of stairs and hearing it go "Braap! Braap! Braap! Braap! Braap!" all the way to the bottom was one of the funniest things I've ever seen in a game. Made me laugh till it hurt.

Made me laugh till it hurt. The thing is, the creators must had some idea that the patients did that. They stick a few of them on the main stairway of the hospital, it's very difficult to get down there without attacking them, so the play testers must of been aware that they belched as they tumbled down, and the creators decided to leave them like that?

A lot of people like to believe that the burping noises were because of the excess gases left in a person after they die.
Honestly I think that's just hopeful thinking and trying to make themselves feel better about a stupid bad noise choice. SH4 was definitely the weakest on sounds (cougar dogs anyone? Bad and incredibly lazy stock sound choice), although it had one of the best soundtracks I thought.

I know XD When I first heard it I was in a bit of a shock at hearing something like that pop out of it.
Yeah it kind of is a bit of a jump there. It was a hell of a laugh but compared to hospital levels on previous games that actually have scary nurses, the patients really ruined the atmosphere.

A lot of people like to believe that the burping noises were because of the excess gases left in a person after they die. Even if that was the case woulden't the gas more likely come out the other end? Though I guess monsters that fart when you hit them would be too much "pffffffffft! pffffffffft! pffffffffft! pffffffffft"!

ya...does any one even know what they are? Are they nurses, patients, doctors what? There whole design is wrong in so many ways one of the worst ways is that sound they make.....sounds like a crapper burping ! No real design to them...and no back round explaining them. Is there even a reason for them being in the game?

There whole design is wrong in so many ways one of the worst ways is that sound they make.....sounds like a crapper burping ! No real design to them...and no back round explaining them. Is there even a reason for them being in the game? Patients. We see Walter fiddling around with one in autopsy stylee on a slab in the hospital. I recall a rather decent discussion back on SHF about them, and the possible symbolism involved seeing as Walter is messing around with what appears to be the womb area, and regarding how disturbingly tall they are. So yeah, i dare say that they do indeed have reasonable design and background (save for the belching), and as for the reason they are there ultimately; because the hospital needed enemies other than animated wheelchairs, and because nurses were in every single game and it was a break from the usual lineup. That thars my thunks on the matter anyhoo.^^ ....i still think that the movie nurses heads look too needlessly much like walnuts...
