*mourn*.
The original SHF was probably my favorite place on the internet. We had a pretty awesome community going.
I was there from 2001 on. Right after SH2 came out~
I like this place but it's just a fraction of what we used to have. It also seems we'll never get that SH game that pulls everyone back. No matter how much people like Shattered Memories, it's still not good enough.
Now Yamaoka is gone too~
Things are pretty grim now~
Oh well, I'll stay here until it's finished.

So many Things Characters Wouldn't Say jokes. I would sit in front of my computer for an hour coming up with them. Then ThisGuyRyan or ThisBoyRyan or whatever sparked a little tension that caused me and Blacky to start developing an idea that I was going to turn into a fictional war between the forumers and the Silent Hill characters. Then the forum died.
Those jokes were the main thing I loved about the old forum. I can still do em here though, I guess.

Hm, I miss those old jokes too, specially the "things you would write on Henry's door", and those about the war the Doc is talking about were the bomb... I'll never forget when he had to take off his shirt and arouse Pyramid Head to break us and Blacky out of prison.

That place was one of a kind. I'm still sad its gone. But that's life and nothing last forever. Not even in the digital age, things can be lost in the blink of an eye.
Regarding ThatBoyRyan: Jesus, God in heaven, that boy was a sparkly menace but he did give us staffers infinite delight ;D

Well it doesn't surprise me, I long considered that place to be long gone ages ago.
But as Dreggnog said, there goes all the 'Things Characters Wouldn't Say' Jokes, not just our own, but the ones by older members that started it all.

Yeah I really miss the 'Things characters wouldn't say' threads. I used to like reading through them. I loved the images that were posted in the threads too, like Harry plastered with beer bottles around him.

I remember when I first found SHF. I opened up the 250 Things James Wouldn't Say thread and laughed my ass off for ten pages. Eventually, I registered, the first time I'd ever registered onto a forum, and still one of the only times, and started posting. But I was a bratty little noob who liked being annoying and off topic, and recieved some warinings. I left the forum for a few months and came back a better man (although probably still only 13 or 14). I began keeping my humor mainly to the things characters wouldn't say threads and ended up striking it big and gaining some respect as a 'funny guy'. My very favorite thread was the Walter's Door one. A relationship between a man and the door keeping him trapped in a room just has a lot of humor potential. I still have lots of fond memories.
RIP SHF

SHF is right here, alive and kicking, as far as I'm concerned.

tis sad to admit that the special place is gone. I think there were quite a few forum members that dissapeared over the last few months and years, for what ever reason they had. Still, there were good times and many good friends there. And great reads in reguard to theories and funny posts. To the old forums, and the long levity of this 'otherworld' i raise my diet Cola.

SHF is right here, alive and kicking, as far as I'm concerned. Good attitude there! That is the spirit one should have really. It's a shame that SHF is dead, but at least a big part of the community survived, and still hang around together. Sure, alot of memories, threads and fun stuff got lost, but fuck it, we all got this place. (Says the guy who has been gone for forever. )
