So I'm living in Flagstaff, Arizona right now and am surprised at how much this town reminds me of Silent Hill. It's bigger than SH, but still small enough to be considered a "small town". The downtown area and the houses there very much remind me of the nicer, newer area of SH. And the apartment complex I'm living in totally reminds me of the Woodside Apartments (except in much nicer condition, of course). I think it's partly due to the fact that Flagstaff is smack in the middle of a forest (there is a lake not too far away, but not close enough to see from town). On a very early morning before everyone wakes up, it's so Silent Hill-ish it's almost scary, lol.
Anyone else know of a town that reminds them of SH?

So I was driving up to SLO and the mist came in from the ocean and just covered everything. All I could see was the road in front of me for a few miles and then nothing but mist and I just KNEW I was gonna wreck my car avoiding some chick in a school outfit
The next day I was bitching out my friends asking them if they'd moved to San Louis Obisbo or Silent Hill cos the mist was still thick as wool

tbh if I woke to that much fog and couldn't see nothing I would be afraid! but it would be cool at the same time if everything was dead quiet and deserted

I'm the crazy kind of person who would go for a walk in that kind of weather. With a wooden plank of course.

Flagstaff is awesome, although I was shocked to find out that they have one of the highest crime rates in the country (only 2% of all U.S. cities have more crime than Flagstaff). I've always felt very safe here, and I've met plenty of other people who feel the same way. This morning there is a light mist. Ooooooo!!!

my my, what about a pic next time? should be interesting to see. I actually did take a picture, but the mist was light enough that it really just doesn't show up in the pic. I'm sure we'll have thicker mist at some point in the future and I'll be sure to post a pic if so.

We have an area near here called the Poconos. It's in the more mountainous region, and sparsely populated. Or so I recall. I've only been there years back, as a kid, on vacation with the family. We stayed at some old guy's cabin. Anywho, it was quiet, little outside noise excpet for the random stuff that'd always make you wonder. And the old guy was always talking about bears, which added to the thought of "don't wonder out alone". There was a lake, too. Was a fun week.
