Same here, but it kinda puts us as a "secondary" forum, when supposedly this is the heir of THE Silent Hill Forum, if you plan on using any headers, I'll change them, 'tis yor call. EDIT: Without the Otherworld:

Really nice work there Vaan-Knight! Thanks for making these, I really like the simplicity of the middle one, the image behind the Halo kind of crept up on me.XD As for the name bizzle; I personally do like having the li'l "Otherworld" there as it does to me feel a bit like an otherworld of SHF here. Somewhat quieter, smaller, darker, but with the same rough elements and a decent dose of the sexy. Perhaps we should have a poll on this. ALSO; I shall be changing the default skin from the current grey "SHFOstatic", to the similar "SHFroom". I hope you like it, and that it is pretteh enough for a stand-in.

I'm going with Room for my default skin.

I too like the room layout, it's simple and clean without any fussiness about it.
@vaan-Knight: You did a nice job with the designs, especially the last one, Pyramid Head is the perfect mascot for a SH forum. I'm not to fond of the second one though, possibly because of the contrast between brown and red. Maybe if the red was a tad darker.

why, thanks a bunch, ppl. But my my, one loves the second pic and another one is not as convinced... who shall I listen to? Pseudo is a mod, but Lolli's Robby trophy demands obedience!
Use any as you like, fellas.

I like the second pic, but it kinda clashes with my room skin, create a gray and black version (instead of a red and black)?

Well, the background Image is reddish, so if I change the red to grey it won't be exactly the most harmonious pic I've made. Changing the BG, I got for the grey skins: EDIT: Silly me, I thought the upper part of the static and default grey skins was also grey... well shame aside, here are the good ones:

If I were to create new skins for the forum to make it look more appealing how would I go about formatting it and/or sizing it?

If I were to create new skins for the forum to make it look more appealing how would I go about formatting it and/or sizing it? The beauty of the proboardy design is that it kind of doesn't matter, everything can be tweaked into place quite easily. No video/.gif images of course, but .png, .jpg, etc work can be adjusted drunkenly by eye and still upload and resize nicely (the header/banner can be the most twiddley bit, but you can get an idea from the others posted in this thread (which still need to be utilised I might add!!) Sizing is also fairly open. Bigger is better for patterns or textures, but if you wanted to make the background image contain an array of characters or objects one could see clearly then it would require a bit of planning. Also it will depend on if you want your background fixed or scrolling. Currently I am trying to retrieve my original for the standard skin, as I hadn't the chance to see it on a wide screen and now can see it buggers up royally (sorry all!). What I would suggest is that you have a go at making 'em, post a teaser in this thread (A mini composite so we can see the background, header, colourscheme, etc), and if they are nommed up by people then you can send the raw chunks to staff for uploading (and any size tweaking if needed). That sound gewd?

Yep. I want to a background of various characters for one for scrolling purposes. What dimensions would you recommend? My other more abstract stuff, I'll just compile.

Thanks bunches to alx who recommended a wonderfully dandy image manipulator! Ladies and gents of Otherworld, I present to thee, at last, the long time coming background image for SHO. Sadly I don't have a title to go with the bkg, but I'm sure I can come up with something. I just need dimesions to work with.
