Here it is. I haven't seen any in HD yet. The Korn theme has me rather indifferent so far. Which is a positive for me since I don't hate the hell out of it. I think it'll grow on me even if I don't end up loving it.
The trailer itself looks fantastic to me though.
Also, apparently the game is delayed until 2012. I don't think that's been confirmed for North America yet.
There was also another 'leaked' trailer from over a year and a half ago that wasn't never meant to be released.
It keeps getting taken down though. While it was never meant to be seen, it was mostly the same as the previous trailers we seen.
The major difference is that there was this huge monocled faced monster that said "ENJOY THE RIDE MURPHEY?!".
And it briefly showed him fighting this really tall huge boss. It was rather awful honestly.
Apparently after that the game had a massive rehaul. It's very obvious why that trailer wasn't meant to see the light of day. Didn't stop fans from irrationally concluding Downpour sucked of course.
Anyways, hope you all like what you see in this trailer though~ I hope an HD one comes around sometime soon.

Interesting. Laptop speakers suck, so I have only watched this without sound, so I ca n't comment on the korn. it reassures me that you don't think it's awful, though. ^_^ otherwise, looks good to me. rence is that there was this huge monocled faced monster For anyone who missed it, here is what that monster looks like. If you missed the old footage, year-old "trailer" (Tomm Hullett has insisted "IT'S NOT A TRAILER!!!"), you aren't really missing much, though.

Edited the original post to add the HD version of the trailer.
It looks pretty good but it has some flaws. The camera cuts too often for little 2-3 second shorts that tell essentially nothing. The more I witness this, the less I am pleased about the Korn song in there. It just does not feel Silent Hill whatsoever.
Once again, I do not hate the song, but I don't necessarily like it. Seeing it in this trailer is just making me bitter. I also feel as though it was just straight up ignorant to have it in there at all.
The trailer is also not creepy or scary really. It's also not a good thing to see a Silent Hill video with almost half 'dislikes' and the top two comments are generally trashing the trailer. Say what you will about internet comments (we all know it leads to a great loss of brain cells) but that does NOT make the company or game look good.
On the positive, it looks gorgeous. The characters seem interesting and there's some genuinely cool parts in the trailer. Honestly can't say much more. It doesn't show much of the otherworld or anything interesting at all. The other trailers were just flat out more interesting.
I also found the gameplay videos that actually showed the otherworld and such to be a lot more interesting.
Overall, this trailer could have been a lot friggin better and compelling.

The only thing I don't like about the Korn song is there is nothing unique about it, it sounds exactly like the songs Korn and any other bands like them would come up with. This song sounds like it was picked out from your typical metal band's hit list, not a song actually created for Silent hill in mind, or any horror game for that matter.

I personally think the song is pretty awful, and a terrible choice... It's generic as absolute hell, doesn't fit with the subject matter, and just comes off as both juvenile and whiny. Two things Silent Hill should not be associated with.
(Korn is also assuredly not metal, I had to put this in. It hurts me inside to read it.)

What the fuck is all the whispering in the middle for? Does it really need to be repeated this much? Meh.
Otherwise ... I fucking knew Korn would be a good fit for SH, the song is pretty nice, it's not overly funky and not screamish either, just a mellow nice melody which is right up my alley when I fire up any SH game. It's missing emotion from previous titles like SH 2,3 and 4 but whatever ... it's a great turn from the bullshit that we have had recently.
I wouldn't say it sounds metal at all, it's just too smooth for it which is great considering they could've pulled a "here to stay" type of vibe or something ... *shivers* now THAT would be the opposite of SH
On a completely random note: I'd love this to be an SH song, not necessarily a title song but just in there somewhere

(Korn is also assuredly not metal, I had to put this in. It hurts me inside to read it.) oh sorry, let me correct that. Nu Metal, happy now? seriously everyone else is calling them that, I would take Korn's own words in order to identify their genre, but "the new genre of rock." is a bit vague

Can't say I care for that music at all. As long as it's not actually an in game theme I don't really care.
As far as the trailer itself, it seems to me just about all the animations are pretty bad. The graphics are nice and the voice acting is on par with the rest of the series, but the animations seem...just bad.

Terrible music. I had to mute the speakers about halfway through. The trailer looks alright though.

Yep, jumping on the bandwagon with this. You know what this reminds me of? It's like it's a poorly put-together AMV. To the statement of the song being a generic Korn tune, I agree, and will also put forward that it just ain't right . Oh well. Two strikes down from me, I hope the actual game makes up for this.
