Let the fun begin! Confirmed for a 10/30/12 release date. Nothing else has been revealed yet. The title has been in development for 3 years which means they've been working on it since ACII shipped. SourceI'm excited

I hate announcments that are just that, announcements. Give us some concept art to discuss. I suppose they'll be waiting for the next Game Informers cover story for that though.

Yeah, kinda annoying but new AC is new AC ;D Someone pointed out an interesting fact: Brotherhood ended 72 days before the Abstergo satellite launch on 12/21/12 which means it concluded on October 10th. Revelations is stated that Desmond can stay up to a week in the Animus (lets assume he went the maximum length) that brings up up to the 17th. Pretty close to ACIII's release date They're really planning this out carefully

Oooohhh, good eye. Apparently the banner from GameInformer leaked The Assassin looks more white now. I think its a great setting. I'm sure the AC writers will involve the Free masons somehow. From the AC story alot of the Founding Fathers were Assassins or had Assassin ties EDIT Apparently I was wrong, America was Templar founded

I'm surprised they are sticking with the 'all white' costume for the assassins. I mean, it didn't stand out too much during the crusades and the renaissance, but the later you take it, the more the character will stand out.
I'm kinda hoping we get to visit the same environments in multiple time periods for the game. See how much the worlds changed while looking for the artefacts

Same locations at different times would be a great idea. America, in AC, is such a hell hole that Mexico is complaining about boarder security so the place will be practically deserted so almost no enemies=almost no guns. My biggest fear is when guns become common (like automatic weapons, etc)
The American Revolution took place in New England section of the country and the Grand Temple is in upstate New York so I think your idea of visiting the same area in different times is possible.
I'm kinda hoping they will use a new game engine in this one. They've used the same once since II to Revelations. AR had some massive battles, it'd' be neat to participate in them, charging towards the enemies with a hundred or so people with you could be some fun

And my AC III excitement just got crushed by the image above ... never bring a knife to a gunfight, 'nough said.
Hope this is fake, oh god I hope so much that this is fake.

GI article here. Lots of good info. Connor is fighting for the Americans. Now, from my understanding of AC lore, the founding fathers were neutral / Assassin since they used Pieces of Eden until Lyndon Johnson had John Kennedy killed then the Templars took over. But apparently the Founding Fathers were Templars from the start I guess I'll have to go look at the Truth Files and CLusters a little more closely
