Oh, lol. Yeah, he's safe. Well, assuming we're talking about the same William.

Well, I didn't get the transfer, but I did get a good dose of tendonitis. That's why I've hardly been on lately.

My uncle passed away last night, after a year-long battle with cancer. Though we are very sad, he did pass away peacefully, surrounded by family, and we are glad that he is no longer in pain. He was only 62. My poor aunt is really struggling, but thankfully she has a lot of support from our family and her own. I couldn't imagine being widowed in my 50's.

Hope your aunt comes to terms with it.

Thank you. I know my aunt will be okay after she has some time to work through it. She's a strong lady and has a lot of support, but certainly no one ever expects to be widowed in their 50's.

Well my best and only real friend who I only know online (yes it's pathetic I know) has found herself a boyfriend. And I really feel bad about this, but as much as I want to be happy for her, I can't help but feel I am being left out here.
It was much easier for me to be happy about being single and forget my troubled past relationships when I had someone there, a friend, partner in crime, call it what you want, who was also single, who I could talk to and relate to
And she's not really into this thing, she's a-Sexual. So for her to have a boyfriend it must be serious. And now that she's got this more successful social life, boyfriend plus other friends, I feel our friendship isn't what it used to be. We barely E-mail now. I don't want to lose this thing we had, I've yet to meet anyone else who've I've got so much in common with

I lost my first best friend in almost the same way, and it was really painful. Maybe you can't meet up with her and her friends in real life, but that doesn't mean you can't be a part of their crowd. The most important thing is not to stop talking. Just tell her how you feel, she'll understand. It's hard to be completely honest, but... That's the true test of friendship. I failed mine - and regretted it. So don't do the same mistake, k? Make it known to her and talk about it openly. It might last days, months, but something will come out of it. And in the meantime, try to make friends IRL of your own. There *are* people like you around you, it's just that none of you make the first step.

There *are* people like you around you, it's just that none of you make the first step. My thoughts exactly. Let her know how much you value the friendship the two of you have had, and that you don't want to lose that in the shuffle of life. However, keep in mind that she now has a new aspect in her life and she has every right to spend time focusing on that as well. It's NOT going to be exactly the way it was before, it just can't be. Maybe this relationship of hers will last, maybe it won't. But it is now a part of her and that needs to be accepted.

I'm on my mom's computer today. The hard drive in mine is going out. A friend is trying to see if he can get it to lurch along for another few months, but if he can't I'll be out of a computer for awhile. Hard drives aren't hideously expensive, but we're living solely off my husband's McDonald's income right now, and I'm sure everyone knows that they don't exactly pay a lot.

I know Newegg is having a sale on a lot of stuff right now, if that'd help any for a replacement. Otherwise, try downloading a SMART reading program to it. I use HDD Health for my SMART monitoring so I have a good idea of when my hard drives would be giving up the ghost or when it might just be a minor issue like needing to be defragged that's causing me problems.

I just got a call from my friend. The hard drive is completely trashed. I have to replace it. We don't have a Newegg here (I've never even heard of it), but there are plenty of other places around. It's just that when we're facing having our electric shut off and our car insurance canceled for non-payment and our mortgage is a month past due, it's hard to justify a new hard drive.

As of next week I will be officialy starting an 8 week training program with Tesco. It will lead to a work trial and, hopefully, a long term job.
At least I shall have some money coming in so that I can shut my dad up and start paying rent.
Next time I ask to put something in the shopping trolley he can't moan "When you start brining some money in...."

Excellent Lolli, congrats! My computer is up and running again, yay! Luckily I found an even better hard drive than my old one and it was on sale for super cheap.
