Trailer movies.yahoo.com/movie/1810037227/trailerThe funny thing, all the action scenes in the trailer, ARE FROM ONE FUCK'N SCENE!!! I love American marketing. Trying to turn a sad, soul crushing tale, into an action movie. I'll still see it but I'm laughing at it right now

Something just occurred to me today: Nine Inch Nails' We're In This Together would be perfect for a montage video of this movie. Or maybe Patsy Cline's Side By Side. . . . Or maybe not.

Haha, holy shit, funny you mention We're In This Together now. I was watching 28 Weeks Later and thought how well the song applied to the zombie genre.
It also works for The Road
Bravo suggestion, sir!

I discovered this movie yesterday, and I'm definitely looking forward to it. I'm glad it's not heavy action packed Vaco Deus, I'd like to see a more personal and intimate look on a post-apocalyptic world. Funny you mentioning that about the trailer, I was talking about American marketing today. Fun stuff.

Haha, yeah, American marketing is pathetic.
I'd imagine that if they showed what the movie was really like (slow, character driven) no one would prolly see it
I would, but thats because I read the book ;D
Had I saw this and NOT read the book I'd prolly pass on it

I'm about 3/4 of the way through the book now though, and it definitely is one of the best I've ever read. One of a very few books I could see myself reading more than once. Really excited to see this movie. My good friend/best landlord ever is a big Cormac McCarthy fan, but he hasn't read The Road. I told him about it, then showed him the movie trailer and he was like, "yep, that's Cormac McCarthy all right."

listening to the audiobook of this at the moment, this is the first i have heard of a movie being released. It could turn out amazingly well if they do it right

I'm still waiting on my local library to get in the audio book so I can rip it and listen to it.
I might reread it in September to get prepared for the movie
