I'm sure most of you have seen that the Otherworld in this game is quite different from in the other games, in that instead of being covered in steel and rust, it's covered in ice.
It's hard to speculate with such little information at this point, but does anyone have any theories as to what significance the ice might have?

Shattered Memories. Ice shatters into many pieces. So are Harry's memories - shattered pieces. The only way to find out the truth is to shatter the ice and and find pieces that fit.

It might be that these moments in the game exist to show when the stress of uncovering the truth is too much, that Cheryl "freezes" up in a panic, and things momentarily get out of control in her simulation. It's a funny thought, though, of the world actually shattering like that. Harry would have quite the hassle in putting it all back together, manually.
