Silent Hill doesn't sell that much, but it still has some impact. There's something else brewing here... They don't release if they can get more money from something else in the same time-frame.
Strangely, this is coming after the God of War collection news. Which proves you could upgrade old classics on BluRay. Hmmm.

Well, this is no surprise to me. First of all, it's reviews were mediocre. Second of all, while Homecoming did some things VERY right it also did quite a bit VERY wrong.
I think it's unfortunate but I also think it's a waste of their time money and effort to release a game that won't sell in Japan. I don't think Japan would enjoy the end of the games ridiculous, degrading, insulting Hostel styled conclusion of the game.

Curious if there will be any plans to officaly release the soundtrack now. i was under the impression they were going to release it when the game launched in Japan.

I heard that SH:V will not be released in Nippan since they heard that the "V" didn't stand for Vio and that he was not attached to the title in any way...

Doesn't surprise me. I guess its Konami's "Highlander 2", of the series as far as they are concerned. The game doesn't properly fit into the series. Not a horrible game, I had fun playing it, but its off from what the rest are. Silent Hill 4, with as much as I'm not a fan of the game itself, fits a little more.
