Glad i wasn't imagining that. I suppose, it wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing, if they had a second team, working on a second story like some of these 'annual' titles. I mean, What if we got a story about Subject 16, before he went off the wall's he painted. Then again, there is such a thing as over saturation. so it probably is a bad thing.

16 could be an interesting idea if they pull it off right.
Got my copy. Does anyone else have weird audio problems when someone it talking? Sounds like a distortion below the voices? (robotic is the best way I could describe it) I thought I blew out my TVs speakers but I pop in a different game and its gone. Not game breaking buy HIGHLY annoying.
Overall, I like the game thus far, into the second sequence.
I like how they have challenges with each mission (don't lose health, don't be seen, etc). Shaun says it can lead to the recovery of repressed memories. Hopefully there is an unlock for getting 100% sync

Doesn't come out here until tomorrow. I've got class in the morning, then i'll pick it up after class. Reviews are pretty good from the ones I've glanced at, there even saying the combat is good.

The combat is still the same in my book. Enemies still wait to be killed. How you chain kills together, plus the new kill animations are nice
I really like being able to leave the animus and talk to Rebecca, Shaun, and Lucy from time to time. Builds a team dynamic and character progression
Checking your email is neat too

Oh, you can leave the animus? That was a annoyance for me in AC2, you were constantly in the animus, never getting any breaks. I had a message when i got home today, i can pick up the the Codex edition tomorrow.

It might just be me...but am I the only one who would actually really like this series more if they didn't have the whole modern day conspiracy thing going on in it? What I mean is, if the game was actually just set in the past where I played an assassin, I'd probably like this series a lot more.
I still like the series though, don't get me wrong, but I was just thinking that today. Kinda seeming like the developers are going a little overboard with the conspiracy mystery thing. There's a fine line between a good mystery and overly convoluted, crpytic nonsense there just to be cryptic... At least that's what I'm gathering from early reviews and gamer feedback so far. I could be completely wrong of course.
Regardless, If I get the game anytime soon, it'll most likely be because the Multiplayer is excellent, so I'm hoping it is. The premise sounds amazingly awesome. Hope it's delivering.

I honestly didn't find the Ezio's story that interesting in AC2, i didn't find him a interesting character. and the gameplay isn't strong enough to keep me coming back (admittedly, its more the imprecise controls). Desmonds story is the heart of the game. And i personally want to see the next title split the action up 50/50 between Desmond and another ancestor. Also, game is installing. I'm quite pleased with the codex edition, the sound track and making of DVD are separate this time, the journal/book that comes with it actually looks pretty snazzy, and there's enough room in there to at least store 3 blu-ray cases.

The more they include the Desmond stuff in the games, the less I'm liking them. Hopefully multiplayer delivers for this.

re: the time twist See, I find history INSUFFERABLE. Its boring and holds no interest to me but I LOVE conspiracy stuff. (I researched the Eldridge because of Xenogears) It was because of the AC series I've taken a mild (very mild) interest in history. If bored I will look for info online about AC or ACII events. I like how they tak the mysteries of history (like the Tunguska Incident AND The Eldridge Experiment) and weave it into the AC story. so, if it werent for the time twist, I prolly wouldn't play AC re: MGS When you first meet Leonardo you hear him calling you but you don't see you and the mission is to investigate the voice and you're led to a cardboard box with a stripe. I thought it was a nice touch.

I'm quite interesting in historical mysteries, but I pretty much yawn and most any other history too. Chernobyl, Tunguska, all that stuff is pretty interesting though.

Okay, I've beaten it. Even though I've seen the ending now I have context. WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT?! Juno said she who will accompany you through the gate is not here. So they're alluding that there will be a second Adam and Eve. or a sixth?
She said something about awakening the Sixth. Is this kinda like a Matrix thing and this is the sixth round of Humanity?
So many new facts flowing through my head.
And the people who stuck Desmond back in the Animus, friend or foe?
Kudos, Ubi, I am eagerly awaiting ACIII
Once you guys beat lemme know your take

You already beat it? How long did it take you to beat it and did you do any sidequests?
