Thanks to some inspiration from Kiryu, this might be of interest: www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=2418478734#The link above will take you to the old SHF Facebook page created by our dearly missed Tarot Card (never knew he was Lebonese, that's pretty interesting). A quick look over shows that aside from being made back in '08, a few pictures, and a post as soon as Febuary being posted, it's a bit neglected. Allow me three proposals: 1. The Facebook folk amongst us simply go and use/push the page on others (the magic of sharing). 2. Not to harrass Tarot Card, but perhaps somebody here who is close enough to him might be willing to have him make a few trusted, active persons here (mods) as moderators of the page itself. That way, without him having to feel obligated, and without the page possibly staying unedited and unused, we will have persons capable of maintaining the page itself with updates and so on. It would assist in attracting interest to the page and, naturally, back to the forums. 3. Nobody hassles Tarot Card and the page is kept alone in reverent silence. A Facebook user then creates a new page for the new forum here, shares moderation responsibilities with selected others, and let it run its course. Pardon me if it's overstepping an invisible line. It only seems like an interesting avenue to try out.

Right, which is kind of along my own line of thought. I suppose I'll throw a poll with this, although it's not like I'd be in any position one way or another to do anything about it. It's all about getting a broad opinion from those who'd want to share in with maintaining a possible asset for the forum. Opinions, I suppose, and some sort of consensus if anybody would want to work towards one. Sort of like with the chatroom idea, except getting that settled is as easy as one of the mods calling out unto the heavens and simply making it so. This, at least in my mind, hinges on interest and a personal connection to Tarot Card. It would seem weird for somebody random to message him out of the blue, methinks.

I suppose it wouldn't hurt, but indeed a new page would be more appropriate instead of TC's one. I personally never log into facebook, I must have like... 5 friends there, whom I contact through MSN anyway. but I do have a friend who's in it 24/7 and might be willing to share it with her crapload of contacts there. let us know what comes out from this.

I support the third option, new page and ignore the old page.
As an Admin, I'm stating that the other options should not be used.
It is Tarot's site, we should not use it.
Tarot should not be bothered.

5 votes for a new page. That means the new page will have at least 5 members...and the old page only had 17 members. I'm not sure there is enough interest.

You have a point. However, part of the reason for using a Facebook page is to address that very issue of limited but active members and to see it grow through networking. It's part of a larger idea of bringing in new victims; looking to ride and borrow from the websites and projects of those of us too stubborn to let it all go. It looks improbable now, but a bit of effort, cohersion, and ferocious zealotry bordering on violent hysteria [joke] will help get things rockin' and a rollin'.

How safe would that be? She's not going to snap one day and cause havoc, is she? If it's secure, a joint effort sounds right. If you'd want to work with me, we can harass each other with messages and get something off the ground that everybody can agree with.

Tarot is still on fb but the page is kinda dead anyway. I used to talk with him but I'm afraid there's no point in keeping that as the official fb page.
I can create one if you want, as I was one of the admins at the original shf anyway. I'm almost always on FB so I can keep it costantly updated.
I was also going to check for the domain but it's still parked until october 2011.
let me know here or through fb for the ones having me there =P

Been having some slight issues landing myself online, so sorry if this has idea seems to be dragging on. It seems like the same has been happening with Vaan. Vampire, if you want to contact me or do it on your own, I'm not out to be greedy. But if this keeps on stalling, I'm going to throw something together before the month's up.

Facebook is slowly (or not that slowly) turning into the main online communication tool!
