Known info - Ezio is over 50 years old
- Will have an item called the Hookblade to be able to use ziplines throughout the city. Can also be used within combat for combos (think Just Cause 2)
- Be able to craft over 300 types of bombs
- Eagle Vision has been changed to Eagle Sense. It'll allow you focus on a person and see where they are going. That way you can run ahead, plan their kill, or plant bombs
- Borgia Tower mechanics from Brotherhood will return. After taking down a tower it'll be an Assassin's Den which will suffer periodic attacks. If you're in the area you can help defend it or if a recruit is a Master rank the Den will never be taken over by the Templars
- The Den's can be upgraded to include ziplines in the area persuade the city guards to be neutral towards you
- Assassin Recruits now have 15 levels instead of 10
- Side Quests are 'gone'. In its place is random events (still side quests in my books)
- Desmond returns in the animus. He is in a safe mode called the Black Room
- Through the Black Room Desmond will be able to access lost memories, which will be narrative driven, and reorganize his splintered subconscious
- Uses motion capture similar to LA Noir for faces (Yeah, no thanks, they look creepy)
- Upgraded multiplayer blah blah blah

Curious by what they mean by 'the black room'. Will we be stepping out of the Animus at all this time? I want more information about how Altair works into the game. I'm hoping it's more then just a small chapters here and there, and the gameplay is evenly distributed between the three protagonists. doubting that will be the case. Random events,,, please tell me they didn't have helium balloons back then.

BOOM! Called it!(Same concept, shuffle the players.....and technology) ------- EDITJust realized it's a long post so this is the part I was referencing: Subject 15 was a pregnant woman and she was declared a lost cause by Abstergo because she was reliving her ancestors memories but the memories of the fetus' father was interfering. The machine was reading both sets of memories at the same time Subject 16 we're all familiar with but after completing the Truth Clusters he leaves you with cryptic warnings Subject 16: She is not who you think she is. Everything you hope to become, everything you hold dear, it’s already gone. Desmond: Explain. Please. Subject 16: Eden. She... in Eden. Find Eve. The Key. Her DNA Desmond: Tell me! Subject 16: I cannot... The sun... Your son... Too weak... Must replenish energy... Desmond: Don’t go! Subject 16: I am with you 'til the end. Find me, in the darkness. So to tie the oddities of Subject 15's Animus sessions and Subject 16's parting words, are we looking at an Inception scenario? ------- END EDITEzio is looking to access Altaïr's memories via some kind of seal. Reliving memories while reliving memories Sourcere: Leaving the Animus Given the situation (Desmond's coma) I doubt we'll see outside the Animus this time, but I also don't know how someone who is comatose will operate the Animus... Also, in AC:B, when you first get to Sanctuary, Desmond sees a vision of Ezio and comments "He looks so.....old" I bet that relates to the end of Revelations somehow Anywho, Its more Assassin's Creed so I'm excited

Re-read some articles and read some other information. I get the impression the Altiair and Desmond parts are going to feel very 'on rails' unlike the rest of the game. But i suppose there were a few missions like that in the other games. Also, if we're able to develop over 300 types of bombs, does that mean we'll be able to carry more then freaking 5 of them at a time? Seriously, of all the things the introduced in AC2, the bombs were the most useful to me, and you never got a pouch to upgrade them. You got more poison viles, more bullets, and i found both of them useless. Might put Brotherhood back in for awhile once i've got my classes sorted out for the week.
also, better see Ezio knock someone up. Be quite the way to end his story.

That is true! Ezio is pushing 50 and still no younglings Magazine ScansThe hookblade is nothing like I imagined it. So that's a plus I also like the fur on Ezio's costume for some reason. The area Desmond is stuck in looks AMAZING. You could have some pretty epic freerunning sequences with all those floating shapes and whatnot

I'll read the article when my copy arrives in the mail (normally a week and a bit after all the details have 'leaked' online.) I was expecting the Hook blade to be more like a Scyth looking thing, thats what i though i saw in the first pic. So i'm happy with what it is.
Hopefully Ezio look's like he's aged in this game. I never really bought into him getting older in the series, because his character model didn't really change (neither did his voice), he just got hairier.

I like the older approach to Ezio, I like that a lot actually. The random events thing instantly makes me think of the Way of the Samurai series, and if it plays out something like that I'd be utterly amazing. Making no two playthroughs quite the same.

I like that we get to go to Masyaf from AC1. Also, is it just me or does Ezio add a layer of clothing with each game?
EDIT re: aging
Yeah, in ACII what? 15+ years pass and Claudia and their mother look EXACTLY the same. Be nice to see Ezio take off his hood and have salt and pepper hair

Just got my copy of Game Informer in the mail today. Had a flick through the article, haven't read it all yet. But the story in the Animus this time sounds like it could be interesting. Honestly, Brotherhood was fine and all, but i can't remember the story in that one really feeling like it moved things forward any in the overall story. We're going to be going into templars strongholds, and chasing artifacts. It really sounds like things i'd have expected in AC III.

The more I think about the more I'm glad we get to finish Ezio's story. How often do you get to see a character over a vast period of time? We started with Ezio in his teens/20s and now he's pushing 50/60 Teaser Trailer, New Details, and Concept ArtA bullet point is about a girl who is vying for Ezio's heart. Maybe he will finally have children in this game (or at least a confirmation that she is pregnant by games end) because it's a pretty big plot point for Ezio to have kids (so, you know, Desmond can exist and all) AND a new trailer on 6/7/11 (read: E3)!

I didn't realise that Ezio's story wasn't finished already. twice over!
I'll be interested to see how they handle the whole love interest/child thing. I want to see some sort of Tragic end to Ezio's life. I want to see him go down fighting, tearing the templar apart. I want to see him walk into a room, fully expecting his death because his already lived the moment before. That's the kind of heroic character i want to play as. It's something i can't say to have seen in Ezio yet.
Actual trailer in 2 weeks. Be the typical CGI affair we've seen of the series trailers so far.

Yeah, I don't know how it'll end. I hope it'll be epic. Looks like they're will be a massive battle. There is a shot of a sword cleaving off an Assassin's Hidden Blade. Maybe the Assassin's lay siege at Maysaf (currently under Templar rule) to reclaim it. I think I said this in the AC:B thread but I, personally think it'll end with Ezio in Sanctuary in Monteriggioni mostly because of the vision of a much older Ezio Desmond had. Could be he's been mortally wounded or he's just near the end of his life or maybe he's hiding something for future generations. I haven't the foggiest but I have a feeling we'll see that room in the ending sequences of Revelations I'm still unsure how I feel AC being a yearly franchise. Normally I hate such things but so far they've all been good. AC II was leagues better than AC I and AC:B further refined the elements of AC II. Either way, AC:R looks good EDIT GT PopBlock TrailerI like these types of trailers however this one only has one interesting tidbit
