UGH. Korn, really? I hated them even when they were actually worth half a damn.
They could have used a band with music that might have actually fit with the game, such as Agalloch.

What can be said? They wanted a big name that still carried a little "edge" to it. I'm liking your Agolloch, btw. For a game that's suppose to be like a call-back to Silent Hill 2, that music does the trick.

My first thought upon hearing that album from Agalloch was "Silent Hill". This is a band who has quickly found it's way into my top 3 favorite bands, and although labeled generally as advant garde black metal, I personally think it's extremely difficult to label the band. They're extremely unique. And each album brings it's own feeling. Upon initial listening to the band one might assume a feeling of depression or hopelessness, but the more you listen to them, the more comfortable you get with the sound and eventually you realize it's not depressing, it's just...soothing.

I'm going to wait until I get the chance to actually hear this song. I would like to think these guys, being fans of the series and all, are picking a song that Korn has done because it's somehow appropriate.
Though, I haven't been a fan of the band since the songs that were done for Queen of the Damned. Seems after that, almost everything they released is weak garbage.
There are so damn many more appropriate artists they could have chosen for this though. Both mainstream and underground.
This reminds me of when Yamaoka collaborated with Interlace. Now that was golden.
I wonder what kind of reaction they were gonna expect from the community though. Sure, we're known for being negative in general, but wtf kind of reaction were they expecting announcing then? It's been pretty much 95% negative.
