Pray the postman only rings twice. Then get up and change your pants...

I think the monster or whatever the hell is is on the left is a bit much, the European release will prouberly just have the postman, the European releases always were more subtle

that is the UK/Euro cover. So its quite surprising its that. Although, i suppose the Cover for Homecoming was a bit like that too. I don't like the restrained figure. I'd rather the silhouette of the postman/protagonist up front, with the figure partially lit by the street light.

I'll back the PS3 cover over the XBox, thank you very much. Except now we know who the final boss is. That satchel probably contains untold horrors that sent many a programmer mad..

Meh, the NA simply slaped the main character onto the cover, how long did that take to come up with?
And what's the point of even doing that when the console logo strip is going to consume half his face? Sometimes showing just the lower part of a face can be dramatic but here it just look like they forgot to resize the image to accommodate the strip.
So...........noone wants to repersent the water motive that this game is surposed to have then? When you call something 'Downpour' I would of thought you'd use water or rain in the promotion. Water can be quite scary, it kills more humans than the animals that live in it. There is a natural fear of deep water, and the unknown depths that hides. But obviously these cover artists decided that something called "Downpour" should have a monster on it, or the main character looking badass. You really nailed the mystery there guys.

Can't say I care much for either of the box arts. First one has too much going on. Looks like something for Saw.
Second is better but too boring. Doesn't say much. All it's saying is "this rain is bothersome to cut wood in" to me!
It's like a lesser intimidating Origins box. Origins is one of the only really good North American ones too.
Can't they try a little harder here? Not many non-SH fans are going to find that interesting. They only thing that would convince them to buy it is having heard what Silent Hill is like.
Hopefully the back of the box is actually interesting. I also hope it doesn't have some dumbass slogan on the back.
Least the HD SH2/3 art is gorgeous.

"this rain is bothersome to cut wood in" HAHAHA!
I really dislike the NA boxart. Without the words Silent Hill on it, there would be a 0 percent chance of me buying that game just based off the cover.
The UK cover was way better colors and style, though I think someone on SH Heaven said it was fake.

I've seen the PAL boxart on the Mindscape website, and they do the Australian release for Konami games. So i don't think its fake.

I love the hell out of that cover. Frustrates me that it's not the one NA is getting.
It astounds me sometimes that you can put the different box arts side by side and think it's a good idea to release mediocre, uninteresting box art in one place and have one of the original Silent Hill artists do a cover in another.
Are they afraid of coked out soccer moms will complain that their kid seen it at their local EB Games?

Yeah, I'd prefer to get the Ito one. Oh well. I don't see why they couldn't just, you know, use Ito's for them all, or have Ito do a couple different ones, because I'm just not crazy about the other ones.
