Hey, Dr. Eggnog's back. Vio told me about this place while I was looking around Silent Hill Heaven, which I also just registered on today. Oh my! here I was looking for some porn free entertainment and what I find instead is some good news! Dr. Eggnog is back, may Xuchilbara help us all. Welcome back, we missed you in a not gay way!

To be honest, it doesn't do anything for me. It's all in the Eye of the Beholder I suppose. It probably has something to do with the fact that I've some ins with the comics biz (I did intern stuff for Kitchen Sink Press/CBLDF, I have several friends in the industry, I'm technically a DC Comics character, etc.) and I pay reasonably close attention to it. Quite frankly, Batman variants are dime a dozen, particularly after the glut of "Elseworlds" books that DC did throughout the 90s. I don't mean to knock the art itself, which is well done, its just the subject matter has been done to death, so it just bores me.

Let me say for the record that I am a 2D man, and always have been. So I've got a bias for 2D but I still think that Meltphace had the most professional looking entry. If your stance is that "yet another Batman tribute" is a tired subject then we are in complete agreement. However, if you feel that his technique is less than cover quality then you need to take another look at the covers that DC published this month. It is for this reason that I felt his work was worthy of the prize
Regarding 3D work, you clearly owned that category. None of the other submissions I saw came close. But a particularly strong poem or song could've won the day. The criteria was far to open for any fair judgement
In the end, we should remember that art is largely subjective. Otherwise, it would be math

I've accepted the fact that we will never be able to go back to silenthillforum.co.uk months ago, but that shouldn't prevent us from rebuilding our virtual community here.
We have a good amount of the regulars back, all we need is a more prominent address so that newbies and vets can find us via the search engines.

We could very possibly change to silenthillforum.proboards.com, it'd certainly be the most obvious step, but it's good to air these thoughts before attempting to act on 'em and making it look like another SHF had just vanished without warning.

It seems like a redirector can solve some of these problems without forfeiting your actual address...
Of course, getting a redirector can often replace one issue with another but hey, eighth time's the charm!

These are good ideas. With the people we already have, the milk carton members that could find their way here and the new people coming with the new games etc, we can create a pretty kick ass community here. Not that it isn't already. Just bigger~

Tarot was kind enough to give me a link to his submission for the contest.
He also wishes to send his greetings and says he misses the old days

Oh my God, someone has actually heard from Tarot Card. This is montage worthy stuff here. . . . I guess it would be hard to make a montage from a forum.
I had to check a dictionary to make sure i was spelling montage right. I've never typed it before.
