(OOC: I'd assumed when James mentioned the garage to mark, that he was implying that they go together, since he said. "..we should get out... there's a parking garage.. I saw a sign.. we should see if there's a car in there we can steal.. I know how to hotwire..." I modified my post to reflect the correction, sorry. Oh, and Lildarkfae, Bella is very much a female. ) Bella froze for a moment, exactly what she didn't want to do. She heard the fellow's words clearly, he didn't seem angry, or hostile...but still she decided to play this with certain caution. She slowly stepped forward, keeping a fairly low stance, as she'd learned to do in situations where anything could happen. It helped to throw the enemy off guard when you sprung your first attack. They never quite knew where it was coming from. She stepped a bit closer, and more into some of the dim lighting from overhead. She could make out the guy a little more clearly now, and was pretty sure he too could see her in some detail as well. She took him in, as she'd noted before, decently tall, and lanky. He had blond hair longer than her own, and a face that seemed much too thin. He was clutching something resembling a fist sized stone... "Look, I dunno how I got here, or even where..."here" is. I don't want trouble, and I will not attack you unless provoked. I just want to figure out why I'm here...and to get out. Don't be afraid...I just want to talk...yes?" Bella-Marie announced in her thick accent, hoping the man before her would comply. Her fists loosened and she began to stand upright, not that her rather short form would seem imposing, but she hoped to appear without fear, and less like a threat. As she did so, and awaited the man's reply, or any action from him, her attention was jerked backward as another figure had appeared near the garage. Bella stood frozen again, looking over her shoulder. Unable to tell who or what had been following her here. Her mind raced, she thought back to the fellow before her, maybe he'd help her in a struggle, if a struggle were to ensure...she wasn't sure. She waited, tense, her fists clinching again, still staring over her shoulder.

(ugh... there has been an Extreme breakdown of Military Discipline on this Vessel... DO NOT ASSUME THINGS or the big guy with the Banhammer will be Angry. *There is no big guy and Banhammers are immaginary*) Correction, there is a big guy, and my Banhammer is very much real!
Anyways, try to play nice my pets, remember that you can not have complete control over your character's actions, since several players are writing this narrative and not just one. Try to Go With The Flow, if another Player writes your Character in a different light, try to use it, not fight it. That way, the game keeps flowing, and your character can engage more easily with the other characters. I will only intervene, if someone blatantly insults another, or blatantly treats another character with complete disregard with its personality.___________ TURN UPDATE!RIDDLE!Sometimes, the group will need to solve a riddle in order to progress:Jack wanders into the Resturant Lounge, the walls continue to moan. One wall of the Lounge is composed of several 10 feet by 4 feet pane glass windows, they have all been boarded up, except for one. One foggy window, Jack walks closer and wipes away some of the condensation with his hand, on the other side he sees a few palm trees moving erratically, violently swaying back and forth, and when they move: the walls moan, a great deal of rain is falling, and just beyond the palm trees, is the rising surf crashing against the Seawall. It appears that someone has written a message on the window's condensation with a finger: You can see nothing else When you look in my face, I will look you in the eye And I will never lie.The sky darkens. The moaning of the walls turns to a howl, one of the trees outside disappeared, the surf is now over the seawall as the water begins to invade the land. Then the lights die, they do not come back on. The Rooms of the Hotel are engulfed in darkness save for a few cracks in the walls and boarded up windows. Rainwater starts to seep in these imperfections. Only the Resturant Lounge with its unboarded window with the riddle stays illuminated by the frequent lightning. None of the cars in the garage work, and water starts to enter, the sea water flood is now a foot deep. The rest of the hotel hasn't flooded. _____________ Rooms to Explore(Characters may enter and explore any of these rooms) ("x" means that the room have been searched) Hotel: Room 601 x Room 602 x Room 603 x Room 604 x Room 605 x Room 606 x Room 607 x Room 608 x Room 609 x Room 701 x Room 702 x Room 703 x Room 704 x Room 705 x Room 706 x Ambassador’s Suite x Commodore’s Suite x Elevator (door is OPEN) Hotel, Lower Levels: x Lobby x Front Desk x Concierge Kiosk x Bar x Resturant Dining Room x Resturant Lounge x Moody Convention Hall x Thornton Convention Hall x Indoor Pool x Gym x Sauna x Locker Room x Underground Parking Garage x Computer Lab Front Door (locked) "Employees Only" Door (locked) _______ Jack (Dwz) is armed with a Broken Bottle (Unconcealed Weapon). When James had initially left for the parking garage Mark had opted to follow given that it seemed James was inviting him. But then as he took a few steps Christian started talking as if James were wandering off alone. Mark felt hesitant and unclear of what it was he was doing. One one hand, he wanted to see if there was a car, on the other hand Christian was the only other person he had gotten to know at all and he felt he could work better with him than James, the young man who seemed to think nothing was real.
"So I'm thinking," said Mark to Christian. "The phones don't work, the TVs don't work, and all the windows are boarded up that I can see. Sounds like this hurricane is real and our priority needs to be to either get out of here or find a more secure spot to hole up. Right now I'm in favor of leaving. We don't know exactly what it looks like outside and I can't hear any wind from in here so surely it's not that bad. I'm going to run down to the parking garage really quick and see if James has made any progress and I'll be right back. I'd appreciate it if you look for an open window or door or something in the mean time."
After a few more shared words the two parted ways. However, Mark's trip to the parking garage was short lived. He found James arguing with some woman, or perhaps it was she who was arguing at him. Mark wasn't sure, but he could tell instantly that none of the cars would work. They all seemed to be in some state of disrepair. There were a few broken windows, some scratched paint here and there. Looked like a miniature looting spree had turned up. But if these cars were still here it was likely none of them worked.
Mark didn't have time to check all the cars as thoroughly as he would like. He had avoided James and the girl down in the garage, not wanting to get into their spat, but soon he spoke up.
"Hey!" he cried out, from some ways away. "We need to get upstairs NOW!"
Mark headed back upstairs to find Christian.
The other individuals in the garage were initially confused by Mark's sudden appearance and outburst. Until they saw the water flooding into the garage.

Through all the confusion Bella hadn't noticed the sudden appearance of yet another person in the parking garage. He shouted to them all, in a fairly frantic tone.
"Hey! We need to get upstairs NOW!"
Bella looked around confused still, then at the lanky fellow she'd followed into the garage. She began to fill water slowly seep into her boots, and she looked down wide eyed to see water steadily rising up past her feet.
"Oh shit, we gotta go, something's going on, it's flooding or some shit!" She cried as she started to run out of the garage from where the man had entered to warn them.
She stopped briefly, to turn around and glance back at the others. "We gotta go, c'mon!"

(yeah... James was sort of muttering to himself. And then in the end just stated "If I find a car we'll be the only ones on it" more or less stating.. "meh. I'll do it myself" since he knows how to hotwire anyway)
James wiped his nose. It was starting to run. Why he was acting so strangely he wasn't sure... oh well.. he didn't much care what this girl did so long as he and his dad got out. He'd just prefer saving someone young like that girl.. where did she go, now that he was thinking about her? He shrugged.. whatever.. "Do what you want.. I really don't care.." he stated aloud in his usual monotone... He wasn't much for confrontation and he wasn't much for arguing. He rarely raised his voice.. infact, he was usually rather quiet. From time to time he'd mutter quietly to himself, such as in the lobby.. but never ramble crazedly while there were people to hear.. if these people were in fact real..
He turned his attention back to Bella. "... don't want trouble? Who does.. fighting is a waste of time and I'm pretty sure we're all just looking for a way ..." he looked down, noticing the water splashing at his ankles.. "out.... yeah I'm thinking leaving is a good idea.." he looked to a 2x4 he'd picked up... then the rock.. and handed the 2x4 to Bella. "You want to protect yourself, right? take it and get back to the other.. there's a guy in there.. middle age, had an orange jumpsuit.. ... did he change?" he asked himself, somewhat remembering his father having put something else on.. he shrugged. "anyway there's people in there. go see them..." he shoved his hands in his pocket, rock and all, and made his way in himself, but in his own damn time. Frankly, he was bored again. A flood? his mind had better ways of making him sweat. This was all child's play from what he was used to. He looked back at the flood water and flipped it off before finally making it through the door, which he promptly closed behind him, being the last to leave.
He returned to his father side.. no one would be able to tell he was even in that garage.. he was still plenty wet from before. "All the cars sucked.. and now they're swimming.. Any other ideas?" he asked, almost yawning.. really, was this all his trip had to offer?? certainly had a more interesting and.. normal colored cast.. he was used to the psychedelic color schemes.. and frankly, he missed them. WAY more fun when the walls made you feel like you were staring at the moving colorscapes on Windows Media Player..

( (Well, you know. Even though monsters might not be real, you're not going to tell your kids that, are you? ) -- By the time the little troop had gotten back to the Lobby, Christian was gone. But an adjacent door was wide open, and if one of them would happen to glance through it, they would see Christian standing, looking out a window. There was someone else there too, someone he hadn't seen before. Christian had hardly noticed - He seemed to have shrank into himself, seemed to somehow receed. He blinked and looked back at the group of Mark, James and what looked like two girls a bit back. He frowned, and looked back out the window. "Eight more weeks and out..." he muttered to himself. "Now I'm gonna buy it on this rock." he murmured, looking at the rising tide. "Eight more weeks..." he blinked, and at that moment noticed a scribling on the Window. Written in the Condensation. He slowly, and almost madly, curved his mouth into a smile, his eyes still dead. "Well that's easy..."

Bella stopped in the lobby to try and shake water out of her boots. She ran a hand through her short black hair, feeling the ridges of the faux hawk she remembered spiking up before leaving the night before. Was it the night before? She had no idea, and wasn't wearing her watch. The watch was a nice one, illuminating face, with a small compass and even telling the date. It'd have been handy now, of course when she didn't have it.
She wondered why the lanky guy had taken his sweet time escaping the flooding garage. And the calm, dry reply he'd given her earlier was odd as well. Maybe he wasn't just a normal guy...but he had given her a 2X4, and if he'd intended to attack her or something, why would he arm her first? He didn't seem like a threat, just odd.
Bella turned to see a door open with a lone man standing before a window, lightning flashing before him, making for a sort of creepy ghost light glow with each flash. He was muttering something to himself. The place was nearly pitch black, if not for the lightning she most likely wouldn't have even noticed the guy.
"Great, another weirdo...Jesus Christ, is this some sort of fucked up nightmare? Hey, could someone here tell me what the hell is going on? Seriously, anyone?" She asked aloud, watching the man in front of the window intently.

James made his way over to his father, propping his chin childishly on the man's shoulder. "What're you lookin' at?" he asked.. and followed the man's gaze..... was that writing? He squinted.... and started reading it out loud.
"You can see nothing else When you look in my face, I will look you in the eye And I will never lie."
He almost whispered it, but it would be completely audible to everyone else in the room... He shiffed a bit, nose still running. He shrugged. "What, is it the sun or something? If this is some riddle it's stupid.. of course the sun could dry up all this water.." he said it as if he honestly believed it. Yes... the sun could come out.. and instantly dry all this up. It made so much sense! ... ugh.
He leaned back again, straightening up. ".. so are we all just stuck in here reading riddles on a window? Really?" how... boring..
(btw... I know it's not the sun xDDDDD)

No Bear. All Jason had manage to find was a syringe with clear liquid in it. He was very familair with the item so much so he was tempted to throw it away. Once too often the nurses and doctors at the Asylum had stuck him with some drowse inducing potion. But worst of all it reminded him of some of The Doctor sessions.
Jason had no clue what was in, (although he never really knew from other syringes) but he felt inclined to keep it despite his fear. He pocketed it away hoping to forget it was ever there. Now he needed to find Mr Teddy, that little bear was playing a long game. Jason didn't like it, it was mean. Then the lights flickered and died.
Jason stood in the middle of the room, shuddering and silent. All around him came the whines and mewls of the walls and a strange tap tap of water hitting the outside. Knocking to come in. Jason hitched his breath and held it, his heart pumping widely. Inside his head he begged for Teddy to save him. A constant mantra that sidled up in tune to the pattering rain.
The walls suddenly moaned louder and with a yelp Jason stumbled through the dark in a near panic, arms outstretched, searching. He eventually felt the grip of a door handle and all but tumbled through into the Lobby.
He only had time to notice a bit more light before a voice spoke out.
"Great, another weirdo...Jesus Christ, is this some sort of fucked up nightmare? Hey, could someone here tell me what the hell is going on? Seriously, anyone?"
His panic roared and Jason sharply screamed out in surprise terror.
" AHHHHHHHHHH! "
He bounced his back against a wall, held his chest tightly and began to cry silent tears.

Christian looked back at the others, and frowned. He took out a Hatchet from his Jacket, and smiled. Looking at James, he turned back to the others. "Who are all these people?" he asked. "Why are they all here?" he slowly made his way back to the group.
"People we have a hurricane." he announced loudly, enough for everyone in the room and perhaps others to hear. "I don't think we should go to the top of the building. That's the obvious place, but this building will fall apart in any second from the looks of it." he crossed his arms. "But there's something else, isn't there?" he asked. "I'm not entirely sure why, or how. But something has us here On purpous, and I think..." he paused, and shook his head, "I think we have to solve that riddle." he pointed to the Window.

"Riddles!? Fuck riddles, this isn't a game, we could die in here!" Stammered Bella, shaking her head angrily.
She placed a hand over her face and closed her eyes, almost as if blocking the rest of the world out. Sighing deeply with her eyes still closed it took a moment, but finally she looked back out into the darkened room again.
"Alright, look, seriously what's going on here? Who are you people, and why am I here? I'll try to solve your damn riddle if you'll answer my questions." She said, folding her arms over her chest.

James glanced at the girl, shrugging. "Nobody knows... he sighed... uhm... that's Mark, I'm James.. this is my dad Christian... and.. I dunno these other people.. but we're all just.. hanging out I guess.. as far as I'm concerned, you're hallucinations so I suppose you should explain why you're here, but.. whatever.. we're all just trying to find a way out, ya know?" he shrugged again, watching his father with his hatchet.
"... I think I'm just here because I trusted the wrong person.." not that that was anything new.. when did he ever trust the RIGHT people..

Bella stared at James for a moment. "Well then James, I can assure you this is not a hallucination...I'm quite real. I'm Bella-Marie, call me Bella if you would. So...you guys are just like me, you just like woke up here...or what?" She replied, letting her guard down and sighing again.
She crossed the room, making sure to stay clear of the fellow named Christian with the hatchet as she did so. She bent over slightly and looked closely at the "riddle" on the window, shuddering as her gaze strayed from it to look at the window at the storm outside.
"I uh...don't know what this means...you say it's the sun?" Bella replied, still looking out the window.

Christian sighed and rubbed his face. "Look kid, I'm not your Father, Ok? I don't have any Children." he said. He blinked and watched the Rest of the Conversation occur. Bella Was full of herself, he picked that up two point four seconds into her first Sentence. He could use that to his advantage. She's all about her, and that means her opinions are harder than Ice. So maybe instead of chipping away, it's time to turn up the heat.
He smiled wryly as she made a wide birth around him to get to the Window. He held his hatchet lightly, loosely - if it were a few pounds heavier it would have fallen. it dangled loosely from his hand, his arms at his side. The point of the Blade seemed to point to the Orange coverals still visible on the pants - the shirt and jacket were only covering his top. He gave a wider smile and looked her in the eye confrontingly, "Are you afraid of me, girl?" he asked.

James huffed lightly, the first time he'd really felt annoyed by the situation.. why was he saying that..? "... Christian Sentzke.. you have two children.." he said quietly.. mostly to himself.. and in a sort of hurt tone.. yes, the man had abandoned them after his brother and mother disappeared, but.. still... he was his father.. He went and leaned against the nearby wall, arms crossed and rock held limply in one of his hands... If this was real... no.. if this was real his father wouldn't be there.. he didn't know WHERE the guy was, but he knew he wasn't around..
