^Haha ok then. But seriously, I think all this "raped childhood" thing is an exaggeration. But what the hell, it seems the movie is indeed shit and irredeemable, and Fox screwed up again. I wasn't expecting that. ;D You know, maybe this will have a good side to it. It s eems the japanese people responsible for the Cowboy Bepop anime want full control over the movie if it gets made. They're learning now. I hope.

Ohhh a Cowboy Bebop live action? Makes me think of Firefly, which is another insanely badass show.
It's honestly possible for any show to be made into a live action and be amazing. I just wish they would try harder.
Also makes me think of Battle Angel Alita, which James Cameron is making from what I understand. Should be very good and I'm quite excited for it.
Regardless, DB Evolution will be a great movie to watch for fun and not take seriously in any capacity. I however, won't be spending a single dollar of my own money on it!

While I loathe Firefly, I do also think Cowboy Bebop would make a fantastic live action movie, if done right.
The anime movie I'd like to see is Berserk.

Berserk would be fan fucking tastic but it'd be impossible to do it justice. Just look at the anime. The anime is pretty awesome but it's SHIT compared to the manga.
In terms of Berserk what I'd like to see is an honest OAV series that does the whole manga series the justice it deserves.
An honest live action movie series that does it justice? Impossible but I agree, that would be incredibly awesome too. I'd love to see it.
I guess this is getting pretty off topic from the amazingness that's supposed to be the DB movie though.

Well I watched the movie, sort of. I ended up noy finishing it I was bored to tears and the characters were nothing like their originals except in terms of really bad copies.

I can't see how anyone could of expected this to come anywhere near deceant, face it, it had no chance in hell.
luckly for me, when I was a young teeny I didn't like wacthing beefed up and sometimes half nakied men yell at each other for hours on end before doing anything. So there's no childhood memories to destroy, yay for me!

I can't see how anyone could of expected this to come anywhere near deceant, face it, it had no chance in hell. Even as somebody who knew better, even I had some expectations on how this movie could've turned out. Then, like so many others, I watched it. Putting aside any comparison to the series' storyline it's based off of, this movie was a horrible marketing ploy, and, putting THAT to the side, was enough to make me bitter for letting myself sit through it. On any given platform for discussion, it was just messed up. While I loathe Firefly, I do also think Cowboy Bebop would make a fantastic live action movie, if done right. This idea has been in the works for such a long time that the only agreement solidified behind it is that Keanu Reeves is slated to play Spike. No, you didn't click that wrong. Awesome, huh? For anybody who hasn't heard more on it, the original script written was suppose to be a masterpeice drawn up by a man dedicated to preserving the essence of Cowboy Bebop with assistance by the guys responsible for the series being created in the first place. Unfortunately, the company that aims to make the film decided that it'd be too costly and that the audience likely to see it wouldn't make up the difference. What that ended up meaning was that the script was scrapped and a more simple version has been sought.
