I'm not the biggest DB fan, but I have fond memories of it from my early teens. Well, what can I say about this movie that haven't been said? Nothing I guess, but I can give my opinion. I'll keep it simple. Dragon Ball Evolution, if intended as an adaptation of the manga/anime, looks sub-par, because they're changing too many things. They should have made a faithful film in the first place. But, from the trailers and videos I've seen, I'll be honest: it might be an entertaining movie. I know it's not the kind of movie fans would like to see (a faithful one), and they have the right to be angry, but if people take it as what it is, a non-canon alternative take on Akira Toriyama's world, they might enjoy it. It looks fun enough. From the videos, it does have humour, goofiness, and plenty of fights. I'll give it a shot with an open mind. And if this movie does not bomb, they may get more money to do a more faithful adaptation. Anyway, I'm there opening weekend, so I won't be spoiled by the huge amount of bad reviews the movie will get, despite it's actual qualities. So, anyone here seeing it?

I wouldn't pay my dog to see it. I've seen the movie preview, heard the details and feel like my childhood was raped and vomitted on.

I guess I'm just a person that doesn't get much upset or mad about movies. Even bad ones. I mean, some people literally hate Schumacher (sp) for Batman & Robin. It doesn't matter if this movie succeeds or bombs for me. If it bombs, maybe they learn their lesson. Oh well.

I haven't watched any of the Dragonball series for years so I'm not too bothered if this film is a terrible adaptation. I know there are die hard fans out there who are screaming bloody murder after reading the synopsis though.

I mean, some people literally hate Schumacher (sp) for Batman & Robin. Nonsense. Batman and Robin was an amazing ... comedy!

I will not watch it. I have completely lost faith. I admire your optimism. Good luck to you. I will have to say though that they would not make the sequel a faithful adaptation if this one did well cause if this one did well they would want it to be the same formula. Lose lose situation if you ask me.

Lololololol, Piccolo, without antenna's Yeah, I remember that scene! A single blue streak does NOT make up for a lack of blue hair, tut.

THATS the Great Piccolo? Really? Looks a little not strong to me. I guess he's ripped up in the bottom one.

After some more videos, I guess I'll wait for the DVD. *sigh*
I still want to see how they made the fight between Piccolo and Goku.

I wouldn't pay my dog to see it. I've seen the movie preview, heard the details and feel like my childhood was raped and vomitted on. That pretty much summed it up for me.

This is the kind of movie you watch alone with a box of tissues and a bottle of tequila and mourn your now raped childhood.

I'm tired of all this "raped childhood" talk EVERYBODY uses nowadays. It's a trend. A movie can't "rape your childhood". It's just a movie. Don't see it. Your childhood is intact, no movie has the power to change that. You people really exaggerate things.

Well I surely 100% honestly meant what I said. No exaggeration at all! Very literal.
I'm just trying to bring back the 'raped childhood' trend back.
No sarcasm here at all.
In the end I think we'll all survive?
