I'm not sure if I shared this with you guys before or not, but I just remembered that I had a dream about Silent Hill Forum not long after I joined the site back when it existed.
We all met together at a motel and had our own little convention, then when it got dark outside we all played some sort of strange, creepy hide-and-seek game. Memory is a little blurry on that part, but apparently everyone cosplaying monsters were the ones hiding and all of the "humans" had to find something without getting caught? The atmosphere in the hotel was made like it looks in the game. The pool was even drained.
It was the most amazing dream in my life. I got to meet all of the members and play with them.

Sweet. Having SH cosplay gatherings at Otakon is kinda like that. Minus the hide-and-seek. But that sounds like fun. I really think that as many SH fans as are able should all convene sometime (in or out of cosplay), maybe for a tour of Centralia.

A tour of Centralia sounds like a damn sweet idea. And I think we should do the meet-up thing and even the hide-and-seek thingy for reals. It all sounds so awesome... hunting for a suitable hotel for the SHcon, taking photographs of the cosplayers, maybe making a short film, like translating the cut scenes from the game into film. You know, like the really rad Maria-and-James-run-to-the-lift scene that was posted in the old SHF some time ago? I'm voting for the scene when James finds out about it all... when he sits down on the couch in the room with that TV... the dusty room with the balcony @_@

Oh, man, that sounds like my dream (as in one of the things I would kill to do before I die), meeting up with you guys in Centralia. That would be so amazing.
The possibilities for a fun times are limitless if we could do something like that. ;D

I'll wait for you guys in our Special Place. Vio runs to the Hotel; and alternates between reading Lovecraft in the Hotel Lobby with the Musicbox playing, and practicing cello by the piano in the Resturant.

...that little Cheryl and Pyramid Head could say "meow" together atop a nice hill. That players could carry as many items as they wanted, REGARDLESS of inventory slots! That all players could have a flauros, whether or not they wanted one! I had a dream...

*Chimes in unexpectedly..scaring half the people in the thread.*
I've often wanted to wander about Centralia myself. Legend goes that you can hear a deep voice bellowing from some of the cracks in the ground in the cemetery (the only cemetery in the U.S. that gives you a free cremation after burial). Also it smells like sulfur there..much like I imagine the Otherworld smells like. Plus, it's mad haunted..it's gotta be.

Ahhh, don't do that... T_T *Sob.* Everytime I want to tell someone my dreams, "Hey guys, I had a dream! Wanna hear--" they chime in with Martin Luther King Jr.'s speech. Then they don't get to hear the weirdness.
Regardless, that, um... sounds like a very nice dream nonetheless. *Has some strange images in my head.*
Man, that sounds like fun... I want to go there even more badly now. I can see it all now, SH cosplayers gathered around the cracks in the ground, trying to talk to the ashes below. The few people left in the town are going to freak out.

So . . . do we wanna make this happen or are we just content to talk about it? 'Cause I'm serious if enough other people are.

If enough other people are serious, so am I! I'd do anything to make something like this happen.

patient: Sorry, that's the first place I go when I hear someone say "I had a dream..." and even though I make light of it, that dream is important to me. I wonder what MLK would think of our world as it is. You tell me, was our society worth all the sacrifices made? We are all literally walking on bloodstained ground and what are you doing to justify all the freedoms that you have? So even when I reference that speech in jest, I am still thinking about the struggle for equality; both how far we have come and how far we have yet to go. And sometimes I even dare to wonder what humanity would be capable of if we somehow all put our differences aside and worked together to realize our potential for advancement. And then I watch everyone struggle to screw the next guy over to make a few bucks more so they can buy more shit they don't need and remember why I don't dream that dream anymore... But to get back on topic, I caution you against doing anything in Centralia. The place was abandoned for a reason: Unstable ground and noxious gasses are a clear danger to your well being. Not to mention that the buildings are ready to collapse after decades of neglect. Whether or not you can even do what you're planning with the consent of the local police is questionable for all the reasons stated Not to piss in your Cherrios, but you might be better off treating this notion as a dream or at least moving your location to someplace less dangerous. Like your local ghetto...

Haha, we could have it in the worst neighborhood of New York City or something. That would be pretty damn scary.
*Covers my ears to avoid hearing the rest of the speech.* Dx
