Anyone else discover this viral video series? It's got quite a following with alot of good theories. Some of them are downright creepy and, to me, most of the suspense is not knowing when he'll show up But I'm a sucker for the 'found footage' genre ala Cloverfield and Blair Witch Start at Introduction www.youtube.com/user/MarbleHornetsTheories and whatnot forums.unfiction.com/forums/index.php?f=248

I love the slenderman stories, so fun to play with and so refreshing to see that a good freaky legend can still be born in our time. Marble Hornets was such a joy to find when it began. I have not checked it out properly since entry 17 or 18 I think....certainly need to set aside a night to watch them all and not sleep. o-o It was great watching some of the entries and wondering what was supposed to be odd about them, then suddenly seeing exactly what was wrong so plainly and yet so bizarrely obscured. Pretty good talent being able to get that balance so deliciously creepily. I actually doodled several Slenderman pics ages back....may have to post them now that I know I am not the only one taking childish glee from it all.

I find entry 23 to be the most bizarre (in a good way)

After some sleuthing if seems there will be a sequel to Marble Hornets by the guys who made Marble Hornets....official I think that would make it. Here is another Slenderman series, dunno if its the same guys. Some of the SM sightings are obvious, other, not so much. In the MH Slendy's appearance was announced by video glitches, in this series it's audio. Also, they break the 4th wall. I dunno. It'll pass time til the official sequel pops up www.youtube.com/user/EverymanHYBRID#p/uEDIT Watched a few more. This series has an interesting hook. Now its a guessing game of which one is the real SM

Almost finished watching these, damn they are indeed freaky, they put you on edge. I was watching the episodes where he goes into the abandoned house, especially the first one and kept glancing over my shoulder.
See, I just started wearing glasses for the first time ever in life this year. I wear black plastic frames, and one of the things that happens sometimes, that I'm not used to yet is that sometimes when turning around to look out of the corner of my eye, I see the frame and think something's there. This scared the shit out of me tonight. What's worse is sometimes I'll see light gleam off the metal hinge on my glasses and think something's there too. Both of these things used to bother me a lot when going down into the basement of my mom and dad's house.
Also I find I'm less likely to get antsy and scared of these videos, or any if I watch them in the default size. It's when I full size them that it gets to me more.
Back on topic... The Slender Man kindareminds me of a short story I once read by Brian Lumley, called The Thin People. I mean, just the way he's portrayed, especially in that episode where you see him slowly creep into the bedroom.
