I'm doubting many have even heard of this game let alone played it, it's obscure as all hell. But the good news is it's pretty new (To US shores), and still able to be purchased.
It might be tough to find though.
Theresia is an adventure game of the truest since. Think Shadowgate, or The Uninvited here. But what seperates Theresia is mostly that there is not a single antagonist in this game. You can die however, as death traps are scattered everywhere you'll be exploring.
But man this game does so much right. For one it's story is fantastic, told through a first person narrative, again like Shadowgate. The atmosphere present is just excellent therein. Seriously, the forboding tension is fantastic for a handheld game.
I could answer any questions most would have about the game in anyone is interested. The game is a very beautiful hidden gem though, look into it if you're into the point and click adventure genre.

I have not heard of this but I'm intrigued.
Did you play Myst DS? I thought the interface for that was horrible so I'd be interested if this was improved.

Yeah, Myst DS is bad. This is more like Shadowgate from the NES.
Still there ARE good adventure/point and click games on the DS. Hotel Dusk is one such game, and is still my all time favorite DS game. The Phoenix Wright series is excellent too.

I'd never heard of it until now, but I just got it tonight at GameStop. I couldn't remember what it was called though, so I just scanned the shelves until something rung a bell. I didn't wanna be the "I'm looking for a game, I don't know the title but it's like this" guy. I'm sure they hate those kind of customers.
Anyway, I started playing as soon as I got it home. So far, I really dig it. Thanks for the recommendation, this is my kinda game for sure. It's the kind of thing I wanted in Dementium: The Ward but didn't get.

Nah man, I work at Gamestop you know, and I actually like when people come up saying "I'm looking for a game, but I don't quite remember it's name, but it's like this.." I like that, because I might be able to strike a conversation with the customer, considering how many games I play.
And if someone would come up and ask for something like Theresia, I'd be thrilled. i get the random oddball game question like that every now and then. Like, one guy was looking for Izuna once for the Ds, and couldn't remember the name. "It's got this pink haired ninja chick on it, big boobs..." I knew exactly what he meant, and while we didn't have the first Izuna (Long out of print...), we had the second. And we had a good discussion on that series and it's genre.
And yeah, Theresia is excellent man, it nails the atmosphere it's looking for perfectly, I just wish more knew of it. It's very underrated.
