It's a strange how weird it is. Saw the paper this morning, and remembered them saying 2 or 3 years back that they've had this cover on standby since September 11. It really seems to have come out of nowhere. Even though i'm sure the various military having been working near non stop these past 9 and a half years toward this day.

Yeah. The thing is, we've known he's been there for at least a year or so. Obama or some other official said as much. And then there were the conflicting reports, where the official story now is that they raided his home, killed him, his son, two other men, and possibly wounded or killed two women/wives and four children. One of his daughters, as well as several other people, were said to have been taken into custody. And they were all unarmed?
Originally they said there were guards and a firefight, which is how the one woman got hurt, and that Osama was using his wife as a shield, which is how she got hurt, except that later accounts had it that Osama was in the top floor, away from that woman.
And then you have it were his corpse was flung into the sea some few hours after this all happened, to, as the official reason goes, observe some Islamic ritual. Nevermind that any evidence pertaining to pictures is being withheld for reasons of "too gruesome", "they might cause misunderstandings", and "they might insight violence".
What?
Not to turn this into one big thing, but it bothers the hell out of me that, even if he was unarmed, Osama was not simply captured and given a trial, and that the US government finds it in our best interests to not see the bad pictures. None of it adds up in my mind.
And the funny thing is, I've been throwing up updates and news links in my Facebook to the point where two people have told me off about it. I'm not trying to cause issues, I just don't get it. It's very troubling.

Though normally I am not the one to surport an immediate exucution. I however do question the point of giving an man a trail, a man who confesses to his every crime on video after every time he commits them. He was always happy to let the world know that he was responsible every time one of his attacks happened.
What's the point in an trail? What case could his defence possibly present? This isn't like Sadamm who dennied his links with terrorists. I doubt Osama will even try to defend his actions, he'll make a few boastful remarks, Say Allah is great, that we will go to hell. The usual stuff.
As for the changing stories, it's early stages. When something like this happens misinformation is always all over the place. People get misquoted, misinterupations happen, a lie here and there. I'll wait till a prouper review happens.

I agree and disagree with Blacky
Misinformation on such a complicated story that every media outlet is in a race to post is just inevitable.
However, everybody is entitled to a fair defence.

I believe it's all bullshit, to be quite blatant. I think that Osama's been dead for a long, long time and that he died in whatever hole he was hiding in. Afterall, it's been ten years since 9/11, and they suddenly decide he's been killed? And the whole 'burial at sea' fiasco is incredibly suspicious. They showed us Sadam being led up to the gallows and yet we have no evidence, other than Obama's word, that Osama has been offed.

And that's the main thing, that the administration would be so willing to provide so many loose ends. It's like they're trying to instigate things to keep violence and instability ongoing in the region, which I only say with the mounting conflict in the rest of the related region.
