Happy Easter and April's fools day. I am happy to announce that I have finally played and beaten what I believe to be the very last Silent Hill game on PS2 and by doing so I can now officially say that all of the Silent Hill games I have played so far were good games to play, yes, naturally my favorite Silent Hill games are still the earlier games of the series; but Silent Hill Shattered Memories which I only got to play and beat last week was a unique and fresh Silent Hill experience, which is great, considering the fact that each Silent Hill game should rely on being unique and different from other games (including other Silent Hill installments) for its success which makes you turn a blind eye to its lackluster gameplay to enjoy its point of strength, the unique and creative Silent Hill storyline which had definitely been creatively renewed in Silent Hill Shattered Memories which for me was a good way to make up for the lack of originality of the first American Silent Hill production of Climax, actually Shattered Memories is an example of a game that makes you appreciate Silent Hill being reborn in America because in Silent Hill Shattered Memories you finally get to enjoy something that even the better Japanese releases have understandably lacked in a way, which is an Authentic American surrounding (Claudia's British accent in the amazing SH3 is an example of that), unlike earlier releases, the incredible voice acting, the dialogue, the characters, and the surrounding are all distinctly American, this time you actually got to hear about proms, lawyers, moving to Massachussetts (Which is in New England where Silent Hill is supposed to be located), you got to see a football field, a picture of a football team to get the numbers on the back of two football shirts, and you got to ride in big automatic cars, and even to visit a shrink, playing that game was really like visiting the US!
