Slower, older computers may have some problems with the content, so make sure your programs are up to date. There also are some giveaways, deadline is somewhere in june.

There are ACTUAL DATES FOR THE GAMES! GASP! SH: 0rigins - 1976 which would mean... SH1 - 7 years later - 1983 SH3 - 17 years after SH1 - 2000 (heh, the Millenium, Armaggedon and all, lol, even though it's basically 2001 that starts the new millenia but WHATEVA) Then "Alex" mentions that a certain James went to see a certain Mary 10 years ago, and that the sheriff knew a police officer from Brahms who disappeared 20 years ago...which means... SH2 - 10 years after SH1 - 1993 SH:H - 10 years more - 2003 And since he mentions Walter, SH4 has to be between 2000 - 2003. ...Man. (I just noticed there's a topic about the timeline. Oh well.)

Yes, I was correct! SH1 was set in 1983 that is if the above site isn't another fan run website proclaiming to be official.

While I can buy Silent Hill 2 occurring in 1993; there's no way SH:H occurs in 2003.
The information is interesting, but it's obvious that it's written in Alex's POV, and no offense, but he doesn't know crap. (He writes that Alessa assisted Dahlia with bringing forth the god, but failed to conjure it.)
Unfortunately this means that elitists are going to dub this site and the game as non-canon. Woop-dee-doo-doo!

Homecoming happens 2006 - 2008! That's if we have SH4 as set in 2004.

That was a pretty cool read. I don't like how they try to make SH Experience and that stupid cellphone canon. That was obviously trying to promote the cellphone game more. No thanks guys, maybe try have standards and maybe someday we can have an actual good cellphone game (but wtf, why even to begin with? Honestly).
It's cool they gave us some more solid dates and drew some more solid connections though. I feel bad for some people though who never really followed Silent Hill and read that. There's a ton of spoilers to games that are meant to be enigmatic. This basically spells out a good chunk of the games stories.

I don't see how SH4's date is some sort of concrete proof of SH:H's date.
The sacrifices in SH:H occur every 50 years; and they started in 1853. Alex was therefore supposed to be sacrificed in 2003, but he wasn't. SH:H happens four years after 2003 (October 15th or October 16th. Read Alex's diary on the American site.)
SH:H happens in 2007.

I don't see how SH4's date is some sort of concrete proof of SH:H's date. SH:H happens in 2007. I remember reading somewhere that there was a couple of referrences to Walter and the murders in Homecoming. However, I have not played Homecoming yet so I can't be sure is it is true.

There isn't. The closest you get is; there are three newspapers which contain an article about a Paul Russel Douglas who killed eight people before being caught and sentenced to death.
A few people have decided that this is a parallel to Walter Sullivan.

i always thought 2 was set chronologically before 1, but i guess 93' seem's about spot on for the design of the town.
which makes me connect it more to twin peaks in my head.
