And here comes your Friendly-neighbourhood Monocle-wearing moustasche-wielding top-hat-awesomeness Spider-KAOz to give you the latest news on Killzone 2. And what is that? Sony decided to lift the review-embargo early, and yesterday, the Internet got flooded with reviews. What's the verdict? This: IGN USA: 9.4 IGN UK: 9.4 IGN AU: 9.0 Gamepro 5/5 Gamereactor Norge: 9/10 Gamereactor Sverige: 10/10 Gamereactor Danmark: 9/10 Gamereactor Finland: 9/10 Spillmagasinet: 6/6 Catchgamer.no 9/10 Meristation: 9.5 Eurogamer.pt 10/10 Eurogamer.es 10/10 Gameplayer: 9.5 Vandal 9.6 Metacritic 95 PSLife 9.5 Gamepro 10 Inside Gamer 9.5 Konsolifin 5/5 Eurogamer 9/10 And that's not counting OPM UK, OPM US and OPM AU.

OPM US gave it a 5/5 from what I read of it, but screw them, they're always biased.
I hope I like this game. But the biggest problem I foresee in it's future for me is nothing of it's own fault. See, it comes out after Street Fighter IV, and right before Resident Evil 5. This bodes very badly for it in my playlist.
Street Fighter is like a religion to me, and I'll shitting all over myself when it releases and probably playing it religiously for years to come. And then there's Resident Evil 5...not as hyped about this as SFIV, but I still LOVE Resident Evil (the games, fuck the movies.), and knowing how similar it is to RE4 in gameplay, that means I'll most likely be playing the SHIT out of it as well.
This leaves Killzone 2 in the middle. All three games can, and will be played online by me, and while I already know SFIV will take indefinite priority over the other two...well I'm just worried that KZ2 will get overshadowed. I hope it's awesome enough to me to overcome this.

Time for you Yankees who didn't pre-order Killzone 2 at GameStop to get a Europe PSN-account.
The demo hits Euro-PSN this Thursday, and contains two sections from the very first level. Single-player only, so no multiplayer at all there.
If you're on the fence about the game, check the demo out the 5th.

Yeah, I not only preordered at Gamestop, I also work there...so yeah I have the demo. I bring up the latter, because even if I hadn't preordered I'd have gotten the demo anyway...

I read that link you posted, and well.... eurhm, you're meaning for the people who pre-ordered at Gamestop, right? <_< Otherwise, you'd have to wait for February 26th to play the demo in the US. Which I find decently crappy acctually. Soooooo many people are going to get PAL Accounts only to play it. Hopefully it isn't Region-locked like the Uncharted demo was. THAT sucked. Us Europeans had to wait extra long to try it out.

Awh, didn't read carefully enough (or they weren't specific enough in their article.)
Yeah, thats it

Create a Euro PSN account, and if the game is not region-locked, you will play it too on Thursday. Seriously, do it. Which reminds me, I need to create a Japanese account soon. Allready have American aswell, so.

True. If I can tear myself away from Fallout 3 (and the homework I've been putting off by proxy), I'll have to do that

Just got done playing the demo.
Really short (10-15 minutes overall maybe), but DAYMN! It left me craving soooo much more.
Controls are awesome (Alternative 2 is the best), the sense of weight as you move around. The sound. Oh god, I did not expect THAT massive beefiness of the guns. The visuals are... wow. Seriously, best, looking, console-game.... EVER! (Notice: Console).
I suggest everyone to try it. Seriously. DO IT!
Edit: If Killzone 2 was a guy and told me to bend over and take it all straight to the face. I would.
STRAIGHT TO MY FUCKING FACE I TELL YA!

If Killzone 2 was a guy and told me to bend over and take it all straight to the face, I'd uppercut his.
That said I'll play it sometime tonight or something, not making an alt account, I'd rather just wait for it to hit the US PSN and use my code. Been spending a lot of time with the RE5 demo, but mostly because of the multiplayer. Hope I actually play this one more than once.
Only demos I've downloaded in a LONG time that I played more than once were Lord of the Rings Battlefront, Mirror's Edge and Megaman 9.

A big reason to play Killzone 2 over and over, is simply for the AI of the Helghast. I replayed the Warehouse bit a couple of times (mostly dying on purpose just to play it longer and over again), and none of the fights was the same. We advanced quite far into the building, and Helghast started pouring out from the sides to take us on. Another time we stayed back just a little bit, only to be bombarded from straight on. After dying, I repeated the same tactic, only to be attacked from straight on and then having a coulple of Helghast sneakily flank me from the sides. Seriously, the AI is incredibly good. I love it! Now, to unlock the other difficulty!

Is it easy to create an EU account?
Do you have to do all your credit information again? I know its free but I'm just wondering
