we had one of these on the old forum before it died so would you want to live in silent hill? what would you do if you were suddenly there? what places would you explore? Ever had a silent hill moment in real life?

Yeah, I've had a Silent Hill moment in real life. I was taking a trip somewhere, I think it was in Springfield when it happened, and I was walking through a hotel with my dad. We were on the stairwell when his radio goes off and it's just static. xD I freaked out and said that a monster was going to get us.
And if I lived or visited Silent Hill, I would be scared out of my wits and probably wouldn't live too long. At the same time I'd be very happy to have died that way. *fangirl*

Well it sometimes gets foggy where I live but because the part of country I live is slightly higher than the neighbouring town when we, drive there (neighbouring town) its clear as crystal.
Other times when we go to shopping centres, me and my sister joke about it being like SH3, and once we went at night when it was pretty empty which made it even funnier.
As for actually being in SH I'd probably be the first to die. I'm not good at running so I would be doomed if I came across any fast monsters, although I'd definately fail if I got hard mode puzzles -_-
It would be cool to have the town to yourself though, free movies, free place to stay but no power so no internetz ;_;

I would think 'awesome!!!'.
And then after about 5 minuets I would probably be curled into a ball crying my eyes out.

I've had quite a few Silent Hill experiences. Also dream like hallucinations from being half asleep. Perhaps I will go into them later. The hallucination I'll probably describe in the hypnagogia thread.
How I would cope though? A sniper rifle. Definitely a sniper rifle. Until Pyramid Head magically appears behind me on the roof top. I'm sure that would end well.

How would I cope? well that depends on what silent hill you are talking about, if you are talking about the town like in Silent hill 2, where the monsters are manivestations of your darkest fears. I'll prouberly get really really drunk or smoke weed or something, in the hopes that my thoughts would become too incoherent for the town to use against me.
If your talking about the town as in SH1, where the monsters are manivestated from Alessa trying to defend herself, then I'll just disguise myself as Alessa. Her monsters woulden't attack her. It might be a challenge being a six foot strapping young lad, but with a wig and a dress I might just pull it off.

If there was an option to choose hard riddles-easy action I'd give it a go, if not and the moment a fast creature would hunt me I'd jump down a broken road.

What, me in Silent Hill?
You've gotta be kidding, I'd scare off all the cultists and attract only mannequins. BECAUSE THEY SMELL FEAR.

I'd probably be killed by the first monster that appeared. :/ Or I'd go crazy pretty fast and end up consumed by the town. All I know is that me in SH would definitely get a bad ending.
Silent Hill is awesome and we like to joke but, when I think about this seriously, I can't even go on, it's just too horrible. Too horrible.

In many cases in Silent Hill, you don't have a choice but to progress and learn what it's trying to tell you.
In Silent Hill 2, Pyramid Head and Silent Hill itself was pretty much guiding James. In SH3, Heather couldn't die. If she did, Valtiel would resurrect her. In Silent Hill 4, Henry had to go through the tunnel otherwise he'd be stuck in his apartment forever. Hell, he didn't even feel hunger.
So for all of us who are answering this question, keep in mind, you'd probably have no choice but to move forward.
I'll stick with my sniper rifle anyways. Until Pyramid Head spawns behind me and tells me to stop being a cheap prick with it and takes it away and shoves me off the roof James style.

Yeah but we all know Henry isn't right in the head. He probably needs reminding when to eat.
