Persona 4 is out, and kicking a lot more ass than I'd originally thought it might. While I LOVED P3, it lost some of the dark edge that Persona 1 and 2 held, and I'm so glad to see it's all back now.
The characters in 4 grip me more strongly, and their development is better this time around as well. Not only that but name almost any problem you had with the last game's battle system/dungeon design, and it's probably been fixed here.
Allowing the OPTION of full party control is godsend to me, though it may not be for everyone, and as such it's an option. Fusion and Persona card collecting is pretty much the same as before, only this time the little mini games to win a persona card post-battle are fun, can be challenging, and often come with a cost at losing them.
I'm addicted to the game to the point of having had dreams about it...which is sad, but true. Amazing game. I know the old forum had a thread about the game, so some people are interested in it. But is there anyone here now who are still interested and or enjoying it?

Hell yeah!!! I LOVE P4 There's tons of little things that would normally not matter if one had not played P3 and been annoyed at the lack of them. Like your teammates helping in knocking down a foe or healing a status or helping someone who has been knocked down get up or taking a hit that would otherwise kill the MC instead of him when you upgrade the social links to a certain degree. These little bits are awesome and I never get boring of seeing them either. The dungeons are very nice this time around. I love the fact that they have their own style instead of just changing a colour like in P3. The social links are more interactive as well. More options and more chances to upgrades MC's statistics while you're at it, which is a nice touch. The statistics themselves are great too. Five attributes with five levels each. Very nice indeed. And you know you MUST build them up in order to handle the latter levels of some S. Links. Now the characters themselves is another matter. I still prefer the old P3 characters over these new ones. Junpei and Aigis were still more awesome than these guys although Teddie has his charm. I'm almost near christmas, just finished the second midterms looks like there's not much to go judging by the S. Links but I'm still enjoying it to no end. Definetly a great, great improvement.

Still need to finish P3:FES, but I'm looking forward to P4. My one annoyance was finding out, after the fact, that Gamestop was running a P4 preorder bonus in the form of an art book. If I'd known, I would have snagged that up right quick. As it stands, I was putting off purchase for a little bit, as I'm short on cash and still have a few other games to finish.

Wish I would have known that Cenobite.
I work at Gamestop, and could have seen to getting you one. Though I think we didn't get too many to begin with. I could have at least told you it was happening...I got one ,and I will say it's a fantastic artbook. Atlus did the same thing for Luminous Arc 2 and Eternal Poison. I have those as well.

I'm playing P4, still on the second level (bath house). What an awkward level, btw. Unfortunately my PS2 died on me, and it'll take me weeks to get it fixed. My HD for the first time ever, is only giving me a bloody red screen. Sad. I was really enjoying the game. :/

Oh, wait till you get to the next one. Also, it has one of the most disturbing uses of old school video game tropes.

I like oldschool Final Fantasy (FFXII however was FANTASTIC!), but Shin Megami Tensei is my favorite RPG series. Then followed by Suikoden.
