So has anybody played Portal 1/Portal 2? I just wrapped up Portal 2 the other day and was pleasantly satisfied with it. Has anybody else enjoyed them as well?

Yeah, i finished up Portal 2 on the weekend (single player), PSN down so i can't try out the co-op. Great little franchise, and a good bit of humor behind it. Started playing through it again with the commentary track (silly thing doesn't save your progress though)

Yeah I like the games pretty well. Picked up Portal 2, but I haven't been playing it as much as I should be, honestly. It's good though.

Prolly should add more, huh?
I thought the overall story was great. Having GLaDOS get a backstory was pretty neat. As was seeing the sealed sections of old Apeture
JK Simmons did a GREAT job as Cave Johnson. He's just a cocky, full-of-himself type person that whatever he says is pure gold. One of my favorites is his Lemons rant and:
"The Lab Boys have some advice if you get some of the Repulsion Gel on you
*the audible sound of Cave flipping through various papers*
Do NOT get covered in the repulsion gel. We haven't nailed down what element it is yet but we know this: it does NOT like the human skeleton system"
With the inevitable DLC I would like some advanced rooms that require more thinking and maybe use of the Gels. and the fact that PS3 gets the user generated content is neat too. I can't wait to see what gets produced.
Overall, very good game. Haven't played co-op yet since PSN is down but I will eventually
8/10

How about the singing turrets hiding in the one test room? That was a nice little surprise. And then that ending, oh ho, but I won't spoil that. Although: does anybody think the Animal King may have been or been partly Cave Johnson?

Being bored silly I managed to solo the co-op mode Yes, insert jokes here, etc. I don't care @mr. worncoat I thought the animal king was a joke, personally If you grabbed the talking turret from the turret redemption line and listen to it for a while it mentions Caroline which makes me believe they got a BASIC version of Cave's brain into a computer and then put it into the turrets for some reason Once they perfected the technology they put Caroline's brain into GLaDOS, which may have been against her will according to hidden audio files, which may explain why GLaDOS killed the staff of the facility Source www.youtube.com/watch?v=7cUv6LLlIPo(0:36 - 0:51) There's also a theory around the Valve forum that Chell was adopted by Caroline, who is now GLaDOS, which explains why Chell was at the facility for the Bring Your Daughter To Work Day (The day they brought GLaDOS online) and survived the initial attack. Also the turret song at the end is in Italian and it got translated and it does support the theory www.youtube.com/watch?v=mtAXSyFCWXYre: The Ending As soon as the ceiling cracked open and I saw the moon a smile came on my face thanks to the audio from cave saying that lunar rocks make an excellent portal conductor As for the very end, in the field of wheat, seeing as Portal is in the Half-Life universe and Portal 2 takes place Centuries after Portal 1, clearly the Combine have left earth. Whether or not there are any humans left is another issue EDIT Confirmation of Chell being at the facility for BYDTWD

Did you see the image of the painting with Cave and Caroline, where there's a young girl hiding in the shadows? I'd like to see if they'll end up allowing the Portal and Half Life storylines intersect. If anybody's interested, there's an amusing review here: www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/zero-punctuation/3153-Portal-2
