I never really use PSN anyway. I only get mithered by strangers who try and start a conversation with me.
Not that I'm anti-social or anything.......
Thankfully I never use my bank card online. I wouldn't trust the internet as far as I could throw it. No website, despite what they may say, is 100% hack free, so even if some socially awkward pleb happened to hack into my account, they'd find nothing but cobwebs.
Still, it was bound to happen sooner or later.

So when I checked in today, the most recent post was "PSN Hacked by Lolli" which could be misconstrued as a headline...
And I was like "Wow, I knew she was cool but I never knew she was a hacking mastermind!"

Hackers had to resort to this petty bullshit in frustration because they couldn't crack the actual PSN's new infrastructure. That's a very good sign.

They're getting desperate. They can no longer get into anything big and serious anymore, so they're like a child throwing a tantrum. Lashing out at anything that they can get into.

Well Sony did bring it on themselves, being the snarky asses that they are but I'm sure Microsoft and Nintendo will learn from this and take themselves and their services more seriously. Now, what's next?

That last attack is pathetic. They need to move on.
I want my damn PSN store back so I can get some new DLC for New Vegas

Now, what's next? How did they bring it on themselves? By taking legal action against someone who jailbroke their hardware and then publicly distributed the coding to do so online? That's more than justified.

Yes Dwz, we would like to discuss about the PS3 hacking without fanboyism being spread all over it.

Though I think the main disaster for me personally is that as an media artist, this hurts my already strained trust of techie people
I have to trust them to an extent, because they provide the tools I need, but when it comes to how media is managed and distributed then they should stay the hell out. hardcore techie guys in general don't respect art and how it should work (not counting cross breeds such as techy artist) and given the chance they would destroy it under their own arrogance.
So when this happens, I stand against it, I don't care who the victim is, I don't care much for Nintendo for example but I would defend them if they were hacked anyway. Such an attack like this isn't just an attack on Sony, it's an attack on all media artists who's work and lively hood is threatened by these kind of people. We have to make a point that this sort of behavior isn't acceptable or it will just happen to someone else.

www.gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2011/05/27/sony-still-unclear-on-extent-of-security-breakdown-in-latest-letter-to-congress.aspxHaven't heard any news about PSN people getting charged in their name yet so maybe that was not the the point of the attack *cough* Oh and Blacky, just because I have an x360 sig it doesn't make me a fanboy. Sony squeezed the shit out of that one guy who published the root key and for what? Because he's smarter than Sony's PS3 programmers? They should have paid him money for this and recruited him to their security team instead (under a confidentiality contract of course). And getting personal info of every single person that even stumbled upon that ps3 jailbreaking website? Bull ... shit.

Funny that, I didn't realise that your sig was from an Xbox game, nor did I believe you were a Xbox fan specifically. It's just your last post whiffed of typical fanboy responce. You made a swipe at Sony, followed by an comment favouring Nintendo and Microsoft. Whenever you meant it to come off like that or not, you still sounded just like a typical fanboy taking the moment to bash something while establishing alliance with an thing oppossed. Anyways are you suggesting that for everyone who hacks something, They should be awarded with an job protecting that thing? I don't think that will discourage future hackers. But that is beside the point, What was done was still a crime, they signed the licence agreement when they brought and turned on the hardware. If they break that customer contract and then was stupid enougth to share this breach with the world, they should be punished. If they didn't bother to read what they signing to or just disregarded it, then they only have themselves to blame.
