Buy Buy Buy ... I've actually got the original release for all of these still. All should be in close to perfect condition. I'm curious about this 'transfering' feature, and what it could lead to. Be brilliant if you could get a copy of the games on the NGP out if it.

Interesting. Be nice if the first game were included for the SH set but I guess a ps1 game on an HDTV is beyond most people. Still, this'll be nice. I've noticed that while SH2 sounds great on an HDTV it looks terrible, so that'll be interesting to see improved, and Peace Walker was a nice addition. Don't know really anything about ZotE though.

Seems nice. Like all the games listed.
Seems odd they'd exclude SH4 since they've done the other PS2 games of the series

Seems nice. Like all the games listed. Seems odd they'd exclude SH4 since they've done the other PS2 games of the series That, and the lack of Portable Ops on the MGS collection makes wonder if there might be a space issue, so they chose to exclude the least popular/least important to the story entries in the franchises. Edited to add: The only thing that would make me happier is if they were to add a Contra collection with HD Contra: Shattered Soldier and Neo Contra.

I can't imagine the there would be enough space for 3 metal gear games (even if one of them was a portable game) on disks and not enough for another silent hill. I'd imagine they'ed have to have the 360 releases on separate disks. They could have put Origins in there aswell. Or freakin Shattered Memories (that might cause confusion). They could release that with Move/Kinect support.

I'm curious about this 'transfering' feature, and what it could lead to. Kojima has made the formal announcement. Basically, its a cross-platform save system. Initially it will allow you to transfer save files back and forth between a PSP and PS3, so you can keep your progress through one save file. All you need is a USB cable and about 10 seconds. Once they have things rolling, they intend to introduce Transfarring for PS2 games that have PS3 counterparts like, say, all the HD packs that just got announced. They also intend to support Sony's next handheld with Transfarring. Eventually, they'll develop PS3 titles with Transfarring specifically in mind.

They could go the route that Capcom is going with its HD remakes of RE4 and RE:CV and make them download titles.
I'm looking forward to more games get a HD treatment. It's lazy for game development, I know, but PS2 has SO many good games that would benefit from an HD outing (Dark Cloud series)

But could this mean these games are playable on the Vita?

Thats the thing though isn't it. Only one of the games announced in these collection have a PSP counterpart. I'm hoping that they include their PSN offerings in this as well. I mean, the PS1 Classics line can be played on a PSP or a PS3, so it would be nice to be able to play, say, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night while on a road trip, and then continue on a TV upon getting home. Transfarring has been confirmed for ZotE aswell. I know Sony want games for the Vita to have a PS3 counterpart. But could this mean these games are playable on the Vita? That's a possible interpretation, but I think its just too early to say. Too much hearsay, not enough facts.

Why not include all PS2 SH games? I don't get it.

IGN have a article reporting that the HD re-releases will include 'all new voice over'. What ever the hell that means. New voice acting, or some weird announcer type person filling you in on whats happened in the game when you restart it? They also mention that the PSVITA title will have multiplayer.
