A new article confirming new voice work. Which, again, I feel to be unneeded and unnecessary. Also the SH Collection is a PS3 exclusive I'm sure it'll find its way over to the 360 eventually Source

Whoa. I can't imagine SH2 with different voice acting, I've played it too many times. If people say that it's really good though then I'll try it out just to see what it's like. As for SH3 I don't mind what they do as much as long as Vincent is still hammy. If he isn't then that would be like in the GBA version of Final Fantasy V when Gilgamesh almost made sense!

I'm indifferent to a new voice track to SH2, but (IMO) SH3 could really use it.

Why not include all PS2 SH games? I don't get it. Marketing. SH:2 and SH:3 was where the mainstream noteriety hit in at. I'm guessing they want to enforce the idea that those two games are the "core" of the franchise, using them as the framework behind any future games and fandom. A new article confirming new voice work. Which, again, I feel to be unneeded and unnecessary. Yeah, how about no to those voiceovers? But whatever, maybe it'll work. If not, something to gripe about later.

A bit of new news about the MGS collection. The Japanese release will include MGS2 and MGS3, as well as a download code for MGS1 The US release will include MGS2, MGS2, and an HD updated Peace Walker. In both cases, MGS2 will be based on the Substance edition, and MGS3 on Subsistence, which means it will include emulated versions of the MSX Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2.

I'm weirdly as happy about the collection as I'm a tad annoyed.
Wtf is with these 'collections' that are so half assed? Given how old a lot of these games are (minus Peace Walker), shouldn't they just throw them all in there? Really, who wouldn't pay a little bit more to get them all.
Naturally, not including MGS4 or Homecoming in the respective collections makes sense.
It's like we get the "Coked Out Exec Collection" instead of a fan collection. I really feel that way about the Silent Hill collection. I'd love to have all the games in one package.
Anyways, I'm pretty glad to see Peace Walker as part of the collection. I have now managed to break two PSPs in less than a year, so all I can do is yell at the sky about it for now.
Why not include Portable Ops too though? The gameplay makes baby jesus cry, but it's a part of the series canon and they've included almost every other game.
Well, no use complaining. I will buy the Coked Out Exec Collections happily, since they're still awesome.

Portable Op's has more or less been forgotten about. Hell, i'm not even sure its still considered Cannon any more. I mean, what happened in it worth mentioning? Boss met campbell? Besides. limiting the titles they put in the collections just mean's they can come out in another 12 months with a new collection containing the missing games. edit: Just spotted this when roaming the internet, Zavvi, in my experience a reliable UK online store, have a exclusive listing for the Ultimate Metal Gear Solid Collection. It contains the HD collection, and Guns of the patriots as well as a Download code for MGS on the PSN, plus 5 art cards to boot. All that in a steelbook case. I wasn't intending to get it just yet, but thats mighty tempting.

Mm that collection is a bit more sexy times then the other.
And TBH, I never really got super far into Portable Ops. It took me forever to find and the gameplay irritated me.
The story I seen was enjoyable, but I've heard from quite a few people that it was pretty up to par.
I suppose I'll find out when I go on my epic Metal Gear canon binge. I just need to stop breaking PSPs.

I guess Silent Hill HD has been delayed until the end of December?
Oh well. Hopefully it'll just mean improvements on it.

I hope its to fix some bugs. I saw a section of SH2 in the apartment sections and everytime a loading screen would appear for a brief second the previous scene would flash on the screen. The commentators pointed out it's probably an issue with how the emulation is handled. Also they showed off the beginning of SH3 and when Heather gets run over by the rollercoaster you hear both the new voice actress and the old voice actress scream at the same time Also apparently Konami recently found Heather Morris so maybe they found the other VA's as well and they're doing the legal work to include the original voicework for SH3. I can't think of another reason why it got delayed for 2 months.
