I will have to agree, H.P. Lovecraft is amazing.
You know who else is amazing?!?!?!?! THOMAS LIGOTTI
Do yourself a favor, for the love of god, and get Teattro Grottesco by Thomas Ligotti Best book purchase I ever made. I never knew horror could be so good. He works in short stories exclusively.
Been reading "Taming the Truffle", as I have been getting really interested in mushrooms and particularly truffles over the last couple of years...

Also rolling with King: Dark Tower II, The Drawing of the Three. Now my fifth favorite book by him (after It, Different Seasons, Bag of Bones, and Duma Key).
I just bought The Stand but I might re-read It first, it's been a few years.

Yeah, Duma Key is one of his best books and absolutely the best book he had written in the last 10-15 years.

Just finished Zero History and before that I was reading The Moon is a Harsh Mistress.
Good books. Heinlein's works are always a great read.

Gerald's Game - Stephen King
The first book I've read in too long.

Judas, toss that book now and get a good one. If you haven't read a book in a long time then you owe it to yourself to read something worthwhile
Gerald's Game is basically Misery without the verbs. Nothing happens at all. Seriously. That's the spoiler- She spends the whole damn book handcuffed to a bedpost. Does that really sound like something you want to submit yourself to?
Have you read Ender's Game? Now that's a real book

Wow, I don't think the book is bad at all. I knew going in she was going to be handcuffed the whole time, that's the premise of the story, after all.

Is that really enough to hold your attention? I demand much more from my literature. And Lolli refuses to even read a book unless she knows for a fact there are car chases in every chapter...
But if you are happy with the book then more power to you!

I just ordered and will soon be reading the Twin Peaks "companion" book, The Secret Diary of Laura Palmer. Which I'm sure I'm going to thoroughly enjoy.
I just recently finished Hellbound Hearts, the short story collection from various authors paying tribue to Clive Barker's The Hellbound Heart. Good stuff if you're into horrible endings (As in unhappy endings, not bad.) and Hellraiser.

I'm reading the Berserk manga series all over again. Decided to try it differently and start with Guts' birth instead of the initial Black Swordsman beginning.
Goddamn this series for being so ridiculously well written. It's taken over my life completely.
Anybody who enjoys darker manga/fantasy should be reading this series. Everybody should read it! Should be requirement to be allowed to breathe!

I love the Berserk manga, but I only own the first 17... And they're kinda pricey.
