I just moved to another city to start school next week. I currently don't have a computer of my own (I have to rely on the school library computers), so I'm not sure how often I'll be on. I have to say, I LOVE it up here! I moved from Phoenix to Flagstaff and it is 30 degrees cooler up here and just gorgeous! I've visited up here lots of times, but now I'll be living here and I'm super ecstatic about it.

Sounds awesome Katran! You will have to try an post some pics of the new place!
Expanding on my last post, I just found out that the two people conducting my interview tomorrow morning are the Editor from "Coraline", and the Editor from "The Fantastic Mr. Fox" No pressure or anything. Geeeeeezzzz.

Wow! I'd be nervous too! Good luck. I'm sure you'll do great!
I will get some pics posted eventually. I have to use the school's computers for now and they don't allow uploads like that, so I'll have to wait until a weekend when I'm back at home and use my own computer (which is on super-slow dial-up right now, bleh).

Today my 2nd best friend Megan found a dirty bottle in the park and she picked it up with the intention of smashing it somewhere and after a little while it exploded in her hands (it was dirty, cracked, and possibly full of smoked pot). Anyway, she's currently getting stitches. I'm honestly more worried about her sister, mother, and boyfriend (my best friend) are handling it.

Wow, that sucks. How many stitches did she have to get? Do the doctors think there will be any permanent damage?

^ Eight stitches in her left thumb. I don't believe there will be any permanent damage. She's able to text, use the restroom alone, play the piano (somewhat), and help with unloading the dishwasher, so she's a little better than I'd thought when I'd heard about the dishes, though I honestly think she's overextending herself.

Wow, blew up in her hand?! That's crazy. Not something you would expect upon picking up a mystery bottle.
Well, I didn't get the job. Drats. Oh well. Only a few days left of school. I graduate on Friday, and thank god. I can't wait to catch up on some games. I haven't even gotten to finish shattered memories! Anyway, soon, very soon...

Sorry to hear that Crimson One. Hopefully a better opportunity will come your way.
I DID finally just get a job this week...at Walmart. But after a year of looking I'm happy to take what I can get. And it will allow me the flexible hours I need to work around school and my daughter's needs, plus I'll be on the sales floor instead of cashiering, covering my own department, so I'm happy about that.

I LOVE Flagstaff!!! It's cooler here, the air is cleaner, there's less traffic and the scenery just cannot be beat. As much as I love the desert (the open desert, not the concrete desert that is Phoenix) I am really loving the forests and mountains up here.
I'm actually shocked that I found a job so quickly though. I think I was just in the right place at the right time. They're opening up a new SuperWalmart here so that's bringing in a few hundred jobs and I have about 15 cumulative years of retail and customer service experience. If it weren't for that I'm sure I'd still be looking.
Oh and I just ordered SH2 for the PS2 (I actually ordered a copy awhile back but it wouldn't load at all so I had to send it back). I prefer the computer, but that game just doesn't play well on my PC. Too many crashes and the cutscenes just don't want to play at all, even with the updated graphics card. Didn't want to play on my old system either. Much as I really don't like consoles, it's better than not every playing SH2 again.

Awwww playing through SH2 again. *sigh* something I plan on doing soon, and over and over for the rest of my life. Congrats on the job! Glad you're liking flagstaff. I'm sure I will find something as far as work goes soon. I do still ake coffee for a living. Lot's and lot's of retail and customer service. I feel you!

I've been off the SHFo boards for several weeks, though I can think of no particular goodreason why. Nice to be back though. And hey, today I found a $5 bill just lying on the road. Sweet!

even though the university has been piling the work on pretty hard, having two animation projects running at the same time, both having the same due date. I've been happy to work the extra hours, but the now the cheeky fuckers has had the nerve of giving me an essay on top of that and now I am just getting a little pissed off. I mean I am working 9 - 5 monday to thursday on the first project, I'd honestly would work more but that's the time the university is open and since the first project is a stop frame animation with a set and everything I need to be actually at the university to do it. Friday, the weekend and any other spare time is spent on the second project (doing it right now in fact, at fucking 2:00 in the morning), and I need these times to make up for any time lost on the first project So there is really no time for a friggin essay, unless they really want a really shitty one put together at the last moment I am seriously starting to think they do this on purpose, like they get off on making students misable or something

I haven't been doing much of my homework but this year (12th grade) has been much easier than last year, which makes since cause last year I was in IB World School program and now I'm not.
