^ oh the drama. Nice music. Feels tense. Kinda reminds me of Lux Autena Most of the recent trailers seem to be focusing on the character of Ethan Mars. I don't think i've really been playing much attention to them untill now though, cause there were some details i should have known that were mentioned in them that help explain the japanese cover pretty well.
pre-ordered yesterday myself. Was meaning to pre-order it with Splinter Cell conviction, but that got delayed. Probably for the best, got a few games i'm yet to finish.

yeah, i've been following 4 days a little. I have been. Kinda. i haven't received any emails about it(though the first email directed you to this site, and that leads your to a twitter account @perfectfolds. One of the later twitters post a image that leads to this site. Nice little Heavy Rain banner at the bottom too. If any one wants to help out, i've picked the last article pefectfolds posted to run through picxaminer. Someone on another forum went with the first article. I'm sure others have picked the middle two, and i'd be interested to see the result of the background from paperfolds being done.

Its a shame, so much work goes into the viral marketing on some of these products, and its only used for a couple of months befor its gone. Wish they'ed include a CD/DVD in the collectors edition that runs over a Flash version of it all.

I was reading some comments about it on GT. So hard to get an objective opinion. This already looks to be the type of game that garners two different reactions:
A) This is gonna be the best game ever! It's solid, unquestionable proof that video games are the highest level of art form, and if you disagree you're the worlds biggest moron! I'll bet God Himself plays Heavy Rain! *gush!* *squeal!* *soil drawers!*
B) This game sucks an armadillo's special area and I wouldn't use the disc to play Frisbee with my dog. I hate it. I hate video games. I hate you. I hate your mom. I hate me. *rant!* *mope!* *bang!*
[/world-weary cynicism]

Yeah, there seems to be very few people who don't fit into either of those categories. I'm firmly in group A. ZOMG, best-est thing since whatever was awesome before sliced bread!
I see alot of people complain about how the games going to just be a 'glorified quick time event' or a interactive movie. But i'm seeing it as almost a reinvention of the point and click adventure games. Except, its being made for play with a controller instead of a mouse. It bares many of the same traits.
Some reviews are starting to come in, at least according to Meta critic they are. One from PSM UK (90), and a site called GamingXP (92). Getting too excited about this cause i'm actively looking up Metacritic scores.

I'm excited for this game because of the story!
So many games are in development for 4-6 years and you finally get them and they're 5 hours long!! and the story sucks!! I know this'll be a short game but there's 4 characters and the story looks amazing.
Thanks to Modern Warfare 2 now every developer thinks their game need multiplayer. Its goddamn ridiculous. BioShock and Assassin's Creed DONT need multiplayer. It just means the single player campaign is going to suffer
End rant
This game has been getting nothing but rave reviews but I doubt it'll be a big hit sadly

What intruiges me so much about Heavy Rain, is the fact that this is the new evolution of point-and-click games. That together with a solid story is enough to get me hyped.
Something I am not fond of though, is the voice acting. It could be leaps better, but I am sure it won't distract that much from the complete package. I was on my way to pre-order the CE for this, but it's a bit expensive right now. But this game, is a must play. I don't think one could form a proper opinion via reviews or videos really. Neither do I think a demo will be the proper way to go. As David Cage himself said, it's so hard to pick a part that is representing the whole game.

I personally love adventure games, and by that I mean like text adventures, interactive novels, point and click adventures. Etc.
Some of my favorite games go along those lines. Clock Tower, Hotel Dusk, Dreamfall: The Longest Journey, etc.
So you can bet I'm gonna be all over this. That and I also REALLY liked Indigo Prophecy.

I do hope the 4days event doesn't give us the killer's identity. I'm following it, but I don't wanna know that! Though people are saying the event won't spoil the game but I don't know... 4days is giving us too many info about the killer. :\

Just i heads up, if you submit the right evidence from the latest part of the 4days game, you can get access to the Heavy Rain demo early. this article loosely explains it . You need to be registered for the 4 days game to complete it.
