4 days is a prequel to the game. I've finished it(submitted the right answer, disappointing conclusion), and i get the impression we won't be seeing most of these characters in the game. with the exclusion of the guy from the first twitter account. edit: just checekd out the GameTrailers review. There's alot of footage in there that we haven't seen befor. I suppose that should be obvious considering the source. The initial discussion could be considered a little spoilerish.

Its weird that all these reviews are out already. I bet their banking on word of mouth.
I think it looks great. I've been loosely following the 4 days.
I really liked his Twitter account, as much as i hate Twitter. I like how he targets boys from broken homes

Really should have figured out Video Reviews will contain spoilers, despite the announcers normally saying 'we're going to try avoid spoiling too much'. When there saying something like that, maybe they should be using footage they didn't record of there play through, maybe only use, i dunno, stuff from the trailers, or one of the 3-4 scenes that have been demoed and are all over the net. I'm complaining in reference to the Game Trailers review and one from a Australian TV show called 'Good Game'. Not long now though. I got an invoice from the game store today in my e-mail, so hopefully that means its sent out. And i might even get it a day early. one last thing, saw thing image on the Euro PSN blog from the launch party. The actors really do look like there characters, i though Ethan was in that picture for a second.

I dunno if every one of them actually played through the whole game, but I don't doubt they got review copies.

I didn't watch the reviews because I don't want to ruin anything but I saw the scores. Probably will pick it up soon, but I heard it wasn't that long, so I'm not sure I want to drop $60 on it. Even though I have been following this game for ages >__<
The other thing is that FFXIII is coming out very soon as well...

Generally reviews have said that the game is about 10 hours long, and its the kind of game thats designed with multiple plays in mind. I'd say that easily brings it up to 18-20, if you feel like a second time round is acceptable.

I can say this, I am completely absorbed into this game. The characters are the most realistic I think I've ever seen in a video game, not only visually, but in personality.
This has game of the year written all over it.

Wow, I beat it and I am emotionally drained. I got a GREAT and bitter ending.
Norman gets killed by Scott Madison gets put in the back of the squad car Ethan saves his son and then gets gunned down by the cops
Then they show Shaun mourning at Ethans grave, Scott at a nearby tree, and Scott's face shows genuine sadness because Ethan wasn't alive to show his son love after all the trials he endured
My only gripe is they set it up for a sequel. Bleh
I agree, I am blown away by how realistic the characters look and how well they emote but that could also be because of the voice acting, especially Scott Overal, GREAT game. Every game should have a story this deep and emotional

My copy hasn't arrived yet. Not officially out in Australia untill tomorrow. But... i was just going over a Australia gaming forum. and two topics in a row just jumped out at me, seemingly naming the killer. Its weird how it seemed to jump out at me, like it rushed at my eyes, and as i recognised what it was saying, a sort of stabbing sensation. I hope its not true.

I think I'm at least 3/4s through the game. Rain accumulation is beyond 4 1/2 inches at least.
Damn man, I intend to finish the game soon, but wow...I'm so utterly impressed with this game so far. Scott is easily my favorite character out of all of them, but I love all of them anyway.

Well, I beat the game as well. The first time I beat it, I screwed up something and was VERY unsatisfied with the ending I got. Pissed in fact. But then after the credits and selected the last chapter and did things differently to get a different ending. I'll explain both below in spoiler text, so Vaco, we can compare notes, lol. Vaco, similar to your ending, my first had Ethan being shot down by the police and Madison being thrown in a squad car. But unlike yours, Jayden lived and Scott died.
I was very displeased with this, as it just didn't feel fair that out of everyone left alive, Ethan had to die, after I'd gone through so much. I'd successfully completed all his trials, and after seeing that the poison didn't kill him, it just wasn't right to me.
So I reloaded and made it so that Madison made it inside, and warned Ethan of the police outside. This time Ethan lived, and him, Madison and Shaun all found a new apartment to live in together.
Despite everything that happened I think Scott is still my favorite character.

Finished it. Still ticked about being spoiled though. my endings went like this I accused Blake as being the killer as Jayden, that got him thrown off the case. Madison died jumping out of the killers Apartment (i swear i meant to hit Circle instead of Square). Ethan got shot by the blues trying to leave the warehouse after saving Shaun. I'd also saved Lauren from Drowning, and that doesn't leave Scott in a good place come the ending.
I went back and played from the Chapter where Jayden figures out the killer, then i got the same ending as King of Dogs got first time.
For some reason, i have a hard time seeing Scott living past the Epilogue.
It was a real experience playing this, i feel kinda robbed about the killer being revealed to me before i even got to play the game though. I think it would have made things a little bit more emotional for me. But i was playing angry at parts and that left me detached from my characters. Still, very good game. I hope to see others like it in the future, and i'm curious about what kind of narrative road they could take it.

Just finished The Taxidermist DLC...holy shit it was intense. Had my heart almost beating through my chest. For those who haven't finished it, if you didn't already know, it DOES feature multiple outcomes, like the normal game. My outcome went like this... I ended up making some noise walking upstairs and stepped down, unfortunately right overhead of the Taxidermist killer when he was going to the bathroom. He saw dust fall from the ceiling and came out to find me.
I hid for a bit, waited for him to move down the hall and then bailed. Ended up stumbling out into the garage. My first instinct was to pick up the chainsaw... He came in and then got scared when I started waving the saw at him. After a missed swipe or two I ended up actually running the saw into his crotch...
When he fell over I quickly opened up the garage door, slid out and escaped...

I got a similar ending, I went upstairs, and carefully crept around the house, i was about to head downstairs when he came in. i back into a room with a hiding place, and waited. The Taxidermist was watching TV, had a beer, used the John and watched more TV then finally game upstairs. I'd moved around a little in this time, trying to find an exit uptop. The Taxidermist found a basketball that rolled out of a cupboard and started looking for me, so when he went past the room i was in, i snuck downstairs and tried to escape. I tried a few different options befor picking up the Chainsaw and running it up the bastard. then escaping via the garage door.
