To those who have played the first game (I havent) Did the first game have alot of repeat zombies or was there a fair amount of variety of zombie models? I ask because there is alot of construction workers and stripper zombies. Also, from my browsing of various forums, whats the big deal with Frank? People are complaining he's not back. Was he that great of a character? I kinda like the Silent Hill formula of a new character each times. It keeps things fresh and new. You don't have the same guy over and over again EDIT GameTrailers released a slightly better quality trailer. From the sounds of things is that the 72 time limit will be back. At the :59 mark a woman says: To repeat: this area will be completely sealed off within 72 hours. This is not a testwww.gametrailers.com/player/45268.htmlSome interesting things: Could this be the location DR2 takes place? Maybe Frank is back as Mega Man!....or its a costume you find in the casino

Yeah, lots of repeated zombie models in the first game. And Frank West was a very awesome character that could have otherwise been very average. He's an average Joe, but doesn't fear everything going on around him. He also added a lot of humor to an otherwise dire, girsly situation.
Consider Ash from the Evil Dead series. That's the sort of character Frank was. Now consider the next Evil Dead movie without Ash in it. Make more sense now?
It makes me wonder if the photography aspect of the first game will return. It was actually pretty cool, and added a lot to the game. But it made sense as Frank was a journalist/photographer.
The Megaman costume was also in DR1, as an unlockable for Frank. (As were numerous other outfits.)
I'll say this, this game's graphics are far superior to the first game. But I wonder just how well the setting will work compared to the first. Hell, half the reason the first one appealed to me so much was because of it's setting. Not only was it cool, but think about what you can do setting wise with a gigantic mega mall setting compared to a casino, even a large one.
The mall had so many stores and places to interact with, and make use of to defend yourself. Weapon shops, lawn and garden, a movie theater, sporting goods, etc.

Aren't casino's usually part of a larger complex? Restaurants, shops, hotels
Don't they try to add alot of amenities so you'll spend the money you won right back at the casino?
Should be able to liven things up. The hotel part of the casino could prove interesting.
EDIT
Thanks for the info on the first game, again

Like he said, the first game did have a lot of repeat zombies, but then again, there were hundreds on screen at once so you barely noticed.

just think of them as Zombie striper Octuplets. I mean, if theres anywhere your going to See Octuplets stripping for your flesh (and brains) its going to be in a Capcom vegas setting.
Oh, and finally announced. Now i can let myself get excited, although, no camera?

Strippers? Good Zombies? Good Octuplets? Good
You'd think that combo would normally be a winner...........?

how can it possibly not be a winner? unless of course, the Casino across the road has Zombie Striper Decaplets (is that right? i'm aiming for about 10 there). Then you know, it would kinda pale in comparison.

I watched IGNs video review of the first game and there is a scene where Frank is in a warehouse and he's killing zombies with the tool you use to cut a hole in the ice when you go ice fishing and a zombie gets impaled and is spinning along with the blades. ;D
Oh, I haven't laughed that hard in a good long time

Chuck seems to like his Chainsaws. Good for Chuck. But if you can't drive around on a motorbike, swining a Katana blade around like a madman... Well i'm still going to buy it, but i'm going to be a little dissapointed. OOOhhhh... and Jousting Lances, Make me a Zombie Kabab.

Well, this time the hype had died down about Swine Flu, they're actually having a bit of an outbreak in Japan, so I mean I can understand. Knowing the symptoms of the disease, I'd certainly not take my chances either.
