We all knew it could come sooner or later. It is Capcom after all www.thegamereviews.com/articlenav-1041-page-1.htmlFacts- With Capcom, last year, announcing a multiplatform stance on all future games, a PS3 version is a strong possibility
- The development is being held by Blue Castle Games
- Will take place in America's Playground, Las Vegas
- Will be released in 2009
This was the one game that tempted me to get a 360. Should be fun, methinks

One of my biggest dissapointments this generation has been that the first Dead Rising wasn't ported to PC or PS3 (yeah, theres the wii-make of it coming out, but even i have lost hope in that). Looking forward to solid news about the game. Like a Offical Announcment with screens.

Now we're talking. Dead Rising is still my favorite 360 games, and I can only say this in it's defense...it's worth owning a 360 to play it.
I LOVE Dead Rising, this news is excellent, I can't wait.

Yeah, it looked so fun.
I'm kinda hoping for multiple locations. Like you have to go outside in the streets to get to other locations. Or maybe just one big location.
And considering how long both systems have been out, hopefully the magnitude of zombies on screen will increase.
And, from my limited knowledge, there was never a true infinity mode. Thats kinda what I want in the sequel
To those who played the games: How were the unlockables?

The unlockables were fun, but weren't that special beyond just a bit of fun.
There wasn't really an infinity mode, but at the same time, you could always ignore the story, and you'd get a little game over screen when time for your current story objective expired, but you could still continue and kill zombies and run around, so in a sense, it was infinity mode. And it actually got boring quicker than one might think.
I'm kinda pissed that they're changing the saving system. The original game had a system so that you can only have one save file, and if you die it saves automatically and you start over, but keep all the level progress you've made and carry it over. I loved this system. It was MUCH nicer than the standard slap on the wrist for dying. But then again, I love difficult games. And Dead Rising was FAR from easy.
From what that link said it's set in one big casino, very similar to how the first used the mall setting. Don't let that discourage you. The mall in DR 1 was GIGANTIC. I'm sure the Casino will be as well.

No problem dude, I really recommend playing the first game. If you can borrow a friends 360, or something, or even if you decide to get one, you get them new for $199 in the US now. Damn good game. But understand, though I'm sure you already know, it's not so much horror as it is comedy.

^isn't that the case of most Horror games at the momment? there generally pathetic in the horror department.
When/If i get a 360, the first dead rising is going to be one of the first games i buy. But i know as soon as i get one, i'm going to get so much shit from my family. They say i waste too much money on games.

Yeah, the Wii version looks ridiculous. Why not just port it to the PS3 and save yourself the embarrassment?

See, but Dead Rising doesn't even attempt to be scary...It pokes fun of itself, and is meant to be pretty un-serious.

Hmm, new Lost Planet too, I like that idea. While short, I rather enjoyed the first Lost Planet too.

is it just me, or does the Big Ball seem like a pretty damn nifty weapon. Wonder if it'll fit in a elevator.
