Dang, I thought the mall from the first DR was bigger than that Fortune city looks insane! I hope its not too big and feels like wasted space like San Andreas in GTA. The countryside was neat but after a while you realized there was nothing to do out there... I'm gonna be spending alot of time in Vegas settings this fall! (Dead Rising 2 and Fallout: New Vegas)

Its out down here in Aus, and i don't know what system to get it on. Probably get more playtime with it on the PS3, and use the Multiplayer modes once or twice. Then again, i've got the first one on 360 (of course), hell ,the first ones a good part of the reason i bought a 360. Plus on the 360 you have the Prologue and Epilogue chapters of Case Zero and Case West. Then again, i don't have a big hdd for the 360, so the load times might be annoying. But then the 360 was probably the lead console for development. ... this is probably an argument for not having all the current gen systems. I'll probably decide when i get to the store.

Yep, gonna be great. I'm working the midnight release for the game Monday going into Tuesday, then I get to come home and enjoy the game a bit before having to go to sleep to get back up for work again later.

Hopefully it helps with loadtimes. I've watched videos and its kinda annoying.
Loading screen cutscene Loading screen Do stuff and leave area Loading screen
Is there a PS3 install? If so how big?

There is a mandatory install, back of the case puts it close to 3 gig. I've hardly had a change to play, gotten the story to just before venturing out of the safe house for the first time. And there does seem to be quite a few load times, and they can go for awhile, but its just like the first in that respect. I wish there was a complete install option on the PS3 to try speed that up.

Maybe they'll patch it up like Modnation Racers.
I guess each loadtime took a minute and a half and the patched made it more bearable.
I've been reading online certain items transfer over from game to game.
Also, money from TIR goes straight to the main game.
pac, try the multiplayer yet?

Haven't tried Multiplayer yet. I read on another forum someone played one round, and they had earned enough money to buy enough zombrex for the rest of the game. So i'm waiting till i complete it at least once. I suspected some items, key items, would carry over between plays. There's an item or two in the pawn shops that i was hoping would. since it costs a shit load. The loading in the game is a bit ridiculous, just like the first game. It doesn't handle cut scene's that well. I doubt there going to patch it. Its not like there long, just frequent. It loads a cutscene befor a Psychofight for a cutscene, it loads after the cutscene, it loads after you defeat them for a cutscene, and then it loads again after the cutscene.

Yeah, the loading sounds just like the first game. But I overcame it pretty easily because I just enjoyed the game THAT much. I was totally into it and it honestly didn't bother me much.
Still, here's to hoping something could come up and help.

Overall I like it. Load times aren't as bad as I thought they'd be. I have to learn to slow down, though, I'm completing the missions pretty quickly. I'll have to get the hang of ingame time and explore more.
Played TIR, Blech.
I came in last and got 26K, first was 75K. I'm not very competitive so yeah, doubt I'll play it that much.

At 26k, for coming in last, you can go to the freaking pawn shop and get a does of zombrex. I've got 41.800 thousand from just playing the single player edit: beer hat has to be the most worst combo items in the game. Chuck has 2 drinks in a row, and his starts to get sick, dropping any item his holding in his hands.

I played about 4 hours of co-op with a buddy, just let the story go, and screwed around killing stuff, we had a blast.
Played a single match of TIR, got second with 56K. I enjoy that. Will be doing more for sure.
Started doing a bit single player too, but I've gotta get to bed soon for work. Single player plays pretty much exactly like the first game, but with creatable weapons now...so in other words, I love it. Loads aren't really better than the first game, but they're certainly not worse either.
Man...when screwing around with my friend we were going wild for almost 4 straight hours, no missions, just exploring and killing. And I still don't think we saw EVERY piece of the map. This game's map puts the first ones to shame. Granted a LOT of that time was spent in the basic mall area, trying to find the most outlandishly stupid outfits we could put together and then go on a killing spree. The whole thing was filled with laughter and "Dude, check this out!" moments over our headsets.
And yeah, I spent a lot of that co-op time drunk and puking. I'd just guzzle every bottle of alcohol I could find and then laugh as Chuck puked all over the place and the zombies slipped in the puddles. But hey, the beer hat heals you, that's a plus. I can deal with puking.
I'm already loving the game, though I knew I would with my fondness for the original.

I was up to the final boss fight last night, way disappointing. About half my attacks went straight through him, i mean, literally clipped through him. and only the jump attacks seemed to do any damage. freaking frustrating.
