So, is this place still alive? If it is: www.bloody-disgusting.com/news/17374What do you think? I don't know... I think they should start over or do something completely non related to the first movie. :/

Well I personally hope they go off onto a Silent Hill 2 story line. Something really personal.
NO
goddamn
CULT
So sick of it. SH2 would be the perfect storyline to emulate and it would be like the great knife right in the balls for people.
We can dream though.
If Yamaoka created a NEW (unlike last movie where he said new and it wasn't) soundtrack it could create such a surreal, beautiful and terrifying movie.

Indeed. A proper SH2 adaptation. It would be Surreal. Nnot everyone's cup of tea, but it would sure become an instant classic if done properly. Only in dreams though... only in dreams...

While a Sh2 (properly done) would be awesome, I'd still prefer something LIKE Sh2 but with a different storyline.

I would love to see SH2 adapted into a movie but it will only end up butchered so I say leave well enough alone.

I don't want to see SH2 adapted completely because it'd be too predictable, especially for all of us obviously~ I suppose we'll probably hear a bit more in a year or so. Maybe they could do the whole movie just like SH2 and throw in the Dog ending for an ending!

Despite its flaws, I really liked the first movie. I've seen it about half a dozen times by now. It's a ways from perfect, but it's fun and it's one of two game-to-movie adaptations I've seen that didn't suck (the other being Mortal Kombat).
As for the new one, I'd like to see a completely new and different story. That is, one which isn't a director's interpretation of any one specific installment. As long as it's very competently written and maintains the look and feel of the series. Even some entirely new monsters would be cool. And perhaps an original soundtrack, since they've already played the "music from the game OSTs" card.

I still think they should just make the entire movie about the Dog from SH2. Every last goddamn second, DOG!

They would have to butcher SH2 so much to get it to work not worth it BUT if they do it as a standalone it means if they follow it faithfully means SH4 could be done to either of them as a standalone would be awesome
But apprantly gans had something in mind for a sequel anyway? But Avary GTF no way he should be bummed but PH in Jail no lube
