Which was why I wanted to do some pre-viz. I really think it would help bring the highest level of quality to this endeavor
Well, that and I wanna pre-viz

I've gone and recorded some footage for this, and I'll put it up when I have the time to upload it. Any word from Crimson?

Yeah, I *had* his email once upon a time... I really don't want to have to login to Linkedin to do this but I will if nobody hears from him in another week or so
I know he moved to Oregon recently and may be busy at his new gig anyway

I know he moved to Oregon recently and may be busy at his new gig anyway Makes sense. I hope it's going well for him. so what you be needing help with mighty forum brothers What can you do? At this point, it's all about filming locations and interactions with those locations. The idea is that each person is implied to be going through different areas but are still meeting up in the same place. I think we have somebody on music and somebody who will eventually edit it all together, but if you can do that, too, it'd be nice to know. Options are a good thing. Here's the video I've recorded so far: It's not much, but then it's not really suppose to be much more than scraps ready for the editing. I can film more, if somebody tells me what they want to see. And I hope I'm not the only one still interested in doing this.

Just thought of an issue with this 'us filming different locations thing'
if we are using different cameras the video quality might come out inconsistant. For example if I was to film anything, the quality would be full High Definition at 1920 X 1080 widescreen, and unless everyone else is as privileged as I to have such an camera like that then the output will be noticeably different.

Unless there were some clever ways to hide the format difference via aftereffects or somesuch then you'd have to go with the lowest common denominator...

Different locations -> different perspectives -> different appearances, right? That's what I've been going on, and I think it'll give us the breathing room we need. Things can be edited and danced around with the final copy. As long as we're doing something, we can work with what we have along the way.

I don't think different perspectives would account for sudden unexplained changes in screen aspect ratio. It would just look like what it is, a film made from radically different cameras. It would simply look amuaterish.

While I am in complete agreement with Blacky that if mishandled, a mishmash of formats will probably look like amateur hour but I do think that Worncoat is on to something... Done right, it could be a really slick approach
This will ultimately be decided by the skill of the editor(s). If the experiment fails then we can always resort to the LCD and go all industrial, which should obfuscate most of the problems and explain away the rest
Ultimately, what choice do we have? We will all end up using different cameras anyway...

I think you guys should agree on first a common theme or something along those lines? someone said it may be problem video being in different qualities maybe work that to advantage? ie goes for good quality to not so good work it into the story?
