The main fault of the movie for me was the pacing. The story pacing felt slow while the action felt fast and it wasn't really a good mix. I definetly enjoyed more scenes than not though. And I might not have disliked a couple scenes that I did if I hadn't had a headache.

Attack the Block - Great movie. Loved the characters and the aliens were very interesting and original looking. Worth a look.
Soulmen - Like a Blues Brothers movie but for soul. Was very good. Samuel L Jackson was great in it.

Saw the Dark Knight Trilogy this morning at Imax melbourne.
Seen the other two before, and they're entertaining fun. Dark Knight Rises is a very somber affair, and i'm not sure if it's living up to the excitement presented. Its along film, the the middle part sort of feels like its just treading water and doesn't develop. Plus maybe 50% percent about the rumours about the film ended up being true.

That's why I stopped paying attention to rumors. As soon as they mentioned who Eva Green was supposed to play I instantly formulated a plotline based on that character and Bane and go figure... turned out to be true. I'll give the movie this though, it had a way of making you forget theories and preconceptions. The movie is engaging enough to allow you to tune out and just focus on the movie.
And of course, Eva Green is NOT in this movie. I think is what better considering who actually did take the role.
Also, I liked Catwoman in this one. I usually can't stand Catwoman. She just stands around and looks pretty for the camera. In this one though... she was doin' work. Ha! Best Catwoman imo.

Superman. The original. Better than I'd thought it'd be. Visually stunning with good pacing and storytelling. Villins sucked though. Still, liked it better than all pre-Nolan Batman films.

Ace Attorney, or, the Phoenix Wright movie. It was so damn Funny, intentionally. It's almost like they went to make a animated movie, and then though, screw it, we'll shoot it instead. It was really enjoyable, and the rest of the audience really dug it. There was a point where the film stopped (think they might not have changed reels in time), and the audience started bursting out with quotes from the film.

Just finished season 3 of Star Trek: The Next Generation. It wasn't as good as season 2 but better than season 1. My three favorite episodes:
1. The Hunted 2. The Best of Both Worlds Part 1 3. Tin Man
EDIT
Just finished Season 4 of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Thought it was just barely better than season 2 but not as good as seasons 1 or 3. My five favorite episodes:
1. Who are you? 2. Primeval 3. Something Blue 4. Wild at Heart 5. New Moon Rising

Tekken (2010)
Hoo boy, where do I begin?
Plot: Let me start by explaining this. In the game, Tekken means Iron Fist, the name of the tournament the characters participate in. In the film, the world is in a state of post-war dystopia, and Tekken is the name of a corrupt organisation that runs the country. Iron Fist (though being a translation of the latter) is the name of many subsidiary organizations and a yearly fighting tounament.
Jin Kazama is a bootlegger who delivers contraband around the city, which is under watch by an army of Jacks. Not the robot from the game, but a group of gun wielding soldiers working for Heihachi Mishima, head of Tekken corporation.
Jun Kazama, Jin's mother, ends up getting killed when the Jack's come looking for him, and as a result, he seeks vengence on Heihachi. To do that, he decides to enter the Iron Fist tournamnet, held at Tekken HQ.
Characters: Too many unimportant characters were included in the film, whereas more well known ones, such as Xiaoyu, Jin's ambiguous love interest, were completely omitted. I would have liked to have seen Kuma in there somewhere. A talking bear is always interesting.
Acting: It's pretty sub-par to be honest. Many characters have completely different personalities to what they have in the game, and the acting is mediocre at best. It's possible that the script makes this considerably worst, as much of the dialogue is so cheesy it has more calcium than a glass of milk.
For the most part, however, the fight scenes were really interesting and well chorographed. I enjoyed watching them, and it was nice to see some moves from the game being recreated with real people.
Costume: Many of the outfits were pretty spot on. Some of the actors looked like their characters too. Heihachi, Raven, Sergei and Anna, being the most memorable. The setting was a little bleak, however. Tekken iswell known for it's vibrant settings, yet this film was shrouded in an oppressive grey.
Final Word: Overall it was an OK film. A guilty pleasure, but certainly not worth paying money to watch. I enjoyed it, though the film took a lot of liberties and it seemed the producers had absolutely NO IDEA what the games were about. It's almost as if they wrote a story about fighting, googled Tekken characters, and incorporated them into the plot for a quick buck.
It's a shame, but I wasn't expecting much to begin with. Like I said, it's a decent watch if your in the mood for a cheesy night in, but otherwise it isn't any sort of masterpiece.

Watched Monster House. It was okay. Couple of gems:
"My nose is in my brains!" "OH MY GOD!" "What!?" "YOU'RE A DORK!"
"You wanna know what my brilliant plan is!? I'm gonna go home and make a PRETZEL SANDWICH!" (lol why is that so damn funny)
EDIT
Bolt. It was amazing, the best Disney film I believe I've seen since I was little. I often find that CG animation looks soulless or creepy, but here it was beautiful. I liked the themes, the characters, and the pacing. I love it when something can be both mind-blowing and emotional. And I teared up towards the end. 9/10

They just had Triangle, since it was on TV. It was kinda interesting, with the twisting story. But it doesn't hold up to scrutiny. The performance were a real mixed bag. The lead, Melissa George, worked well, but the rest were pretty horrible. really forced american accents. It was shot in Australia, using a cast of Australian/New Zealand actors, but they felt the need to set it in America.
I've been smashing through the West Wing since Christmas. Up to season 6. It kinda annoyed me how it seems to just drop characters, after building them up as being important. Maybe I've missed a scene that explains things, and some of them were supporting cast, so they weren't always going to be around. The cast were great though, I could watch a season or two of Bradely Whitford just being sarcastic.
